Brian Cummings and I have been working out the details for the first Super Class Nationals planned as an XA-tier on Aug 22-23 at the Lemon Lake 4-course complex near Chicago. This will also be the likely site for the 2010 Pro Worlds if approved by the PDGA Board at the Spring Summit on May 1. The Super Class Nationals will be a way for players to play this inaugural event and get a sneak peek at the courses for Worlds. Tentative schedule is two rounds of 24 on Saturday and 18-24 on Sunday depending on pool sizes. Optional divisional draw doubles on Friday afternoon. More details later this spring after Brian gets the sanctioning agreement filed and PDGA approves it.

How about fitting an SC round mini tournament in at the WDGC this year? Please?

Do you mean have an SC one round side event at Worlds? We did a Super Class competition on the EDGE course last year which I think Greenwell won.

Sure, that would work for me!!! I have no doubt that Dave won - he is amazing. Did you see him in the promo video? It made me think of "The Picture (Portrait) of Dorian Gray".

I'll see what looks good for timing as the date for Worlds gets closer. Should be able to work something out since I'm not playing. I wonder if people won't want to play Super Class near Worlds though if they think it will mess up their chances to cash. Of course, more players at Worlds won't cash than will so maybe this will be appealing since the hot shots may not enter it?
