I was wondering is that was going to remain in the package. Good fun, but really doesn't create any long term jobs or payback to the taxpayers.

Wonder who gets to choose where to build these courses.

They didn't even read the bill... not one of them.

That money has bad ju-ju, karma or vibe...

The media has already had fun with the idea of making $886,000 DG courses.

There's so much more they could do with $886,000.

The course in the photo is Morley Field (Hole 19). I wonder if that is were the money is going? Not sure who is putting.

I think it's great that the government want's to expand disc golf, but there are more pressing issue's that need to be addressed in this economy.

And it DOES NOT involve improving the infrastructure of our government, bailing out banks, or helping the auto industry! It should go to help those in need, like the people that have mortgage issues, need a job, or help just putting food on the table!

the government dosnt owe any money to anybody that cant manage there own comercial affairs,i.e.bailouts of any kind are stupid at best. our comercial system can and will weed out those who should not be in control of money from households to multi billion per year corporations.
if the people think that the money from the government comes for free then they dont deserve it.
the only money that will be respected is what is worked for and managed by those who worked for it.
let the free market decide who can survive or fail that is what our founding fathers had in mind, less government and greater personal responsibuility.

Here's another story that I believe relates to the story about $800k for an Austin course.
