S.A.L.L. thats his charity south austin little league.
I don't think he gets it....why PDGA ? why not call it a 2 round mini and all the PDGA money could go to SALL. Better to make waives I guess........

PDGA turns over the 2 dollar sanctioning fee for each player they charge at a c-tier, the 10 dollar non-pdga member fees that apply are also turned over to charity, and the PDGA cuts the tournament sanctioning fee in half (25 instead of 50 for C Tiers) for a (501) 3c charity event. This way a bunch of money can be raised for a good cause and I don't lose out on a low turnout tournament.

So what is wrong with what I am doing here? This is the only time I can squeeze in a tournament before the little league starts up and my classes to.

Hey Vinnie,
I pay my fees for earning ratings in tournaments and maintaining the opportunity to raise money for charities around Texas by running tournaments. I am simply trying to raise some money for a league that is about to start up. I am also giving those people that couldn't play with all their friends at snowfarm a chance to have some fun elsewhere.

Why is there so much frustration when it comes to tournaments popping up in Austin?

There are to many Chiefs and not enough Indians....

Where's the love?

Calm down Chris

There's no way this event is going to pull away any potential players from state doubles. Now if your tournament was a one day tourney, I would reconsider.

peace?

WHY do you need the PDGA?
ratings? You said your were not plaing your events anymore
Charity is all good........without PDGA you have more money for your charity.
So WHY PDGA?????
Do this run your 2 round mini and instead of PDGA send the fees to the Texas Women's CHampionships.
I get the impression you just want to conflict with every chief in Texas.
I ask you WHERES the love?
STOP with the sancationing.Everything you doesn't need the PDGA stamp.

Really....Explain this one....cause I see it pulling from the other event. And lets make this clear its not his tournament, mine, or anyone idividual. A (all)tournament belong to the players and when a tournament runs up against another tournament (in the same area)it pulls players away.
You want to run events, try running a mini, a league, or help staff another event. Leave the PDGA thing to the people who know what it takes to run a PDGA event. Cause there is a LOT more to just paying PDGA some money and picking a date.

WHY do you need the PDGA?

I need the PDGA so I can promote S.A.L.L. and other charity events.
ratings? You said your were not playing your events anymore
You are right vinnie, I am not playing but if you ask the majority of PDGA members, they like ratings. That's why they play sanctioned tournaments! FOr the most part that is...
Charity is all good........without PDGA you have more money for your charity.
Apparently you don't know as much as you think you do Vinnie....did you not read the endowment program close enough? All PDGA fees minus the 25 sanctioning goes to charity. So you are wrong on this one buddy.
So WHY PDGA?????
Again, the PDGA is good for promoting and it helps raise more money for the charity.
Do this run your 2 round mini and instead of PDGA send the fees to the Texas Women's CHampionships.
the PDGA is only getting 25 dollars Vinny. I think there more efficient ways to raise money, don't you think?
I get the impression you just want to conflict with every chief in Texas.
BUSTED! You got me Vinnie. Every waking moment of my life I try to create mass destruction for Texas TDs. Come on? Really? Sometimes I think people are just to closed minded and don't see the big picture. I am simply raising money and giving people a chance to play competitive style golf.
I ask you WHERES the love?
STOP with the sancationing.Everything you doesn't need the PDGA stamp.
What is eating you up about the sanctioning? Just let it go man....

Sorry this has upset you, chris and vinny. All my efforts are in the highest intentions to serve my community.

Chris - If there's 3 people to support a division then yes I will have enough to have a tournament.

Don't you remember when you couldn't make that one day'r because of work or your partner, well this will help people with that problem.

EVERYONE seems to know it all???? This is just like running minis on the same days in the same city at the same time. IT DOES take away players from the events. Let's ALL just face it....DISC GOLF is becoming more and more popular as each year passes. There just aren't enough weeks in the year to keep everyone satisfied when running events. New clubs and tournaments are popping up everywhere. Let's do our best to work together. I personally appreciate what Daniel does for our sport and the charities. Give em a break.

That mask resembles FUN. Kinda like your version...tye dye. Its no different, so in a sense you have already been pharmaceuti-silly parading around Texas. I think tye dye, masks and all silly ways of expressing yourself is healthy. Al least at the Amature level. These are not cool if playing professionally.

Me and tye dye.......you got to be kidding!
And your opinion on my professionalism doesn't count! That would be like waste giving its opinion on the toilet it lives in.
You make sure the your spontaneous Open has ALL its Ts crossed and have a great event.....anytime you would like to join me at the Rock dont hesitate to give me a call.

blog, blog, blog

Hey, a quick weekend update.

Played Pease Saturday and 13's fairway looks horrible. I think a bunch of people are going to really dislike the work they are doing. I can't explain it so you will have to see for yourself.

GUY your thoughts on this?

Robert Gomez hit the ace today at Temple (lyons park). 200+ and got third place cash along with Mike B. Keith keeps #1 tag with a +9 and Pugh shoots an amazing 3+ after his last round there, -1 (record score)! Pugh is not in the league, otherwise Keith would have a tough time keeping that #1.

I was one stroke out of cash and Leon was three strokes off.

What a B-E-A-Utiful weekend it was!!! :cool::cool::) :)

Hey Everyone,

Just to clarify a couple of things since last week.

This tournament is raising money for a little league that is a part of South Austin Little League. They opperate under their own board staff and run their season seperatley but they are infact an Austin Little League.

Registration is going to be at the course so please plan on getting there early.

Please contact me if you know of anyone that would like to sponsor this tournament for prizes or cash.

Thanks

Extra hole - hole 19 plays to practice basket

Just food for thought

Thanks Daniel, appreciate the last minute event for Charity + gives me a chance to play in an event because of my family/life/work schedule is pulling me away from many of the other events that will be going on. So I do appreciate it that way, as a person that is busy committed to volunteering/charity/church/etc.
I have set the word in motion, and hope to have some of the UT Disc Group, and some new players that have never played an event, out there also. Furthermore, I will attempt to be there early to help out in set up, etc.
AM's are the foundation to the sport's progress... see ya there!
