Glad to see the course has made it another year. Everyone should try to get over to Denmark for support and to play this course. It fills the shoes that Govan left behind very nicely.

There will not be any noticable changes. We will be using carts for both rounds, that is the only change.

Any recommendations on hotels. I'm getting transferred to Florence from Huntington, WV and will be getting in friday, and heading to the course saturday to get a round or two in to get to know the course a little.

Tough question. I searched cheaptickets.com and found 2 hotels in Barnwell. I am not sure I would recommend them. Orangeburg has more hotels to choose from and may be a better option.

I was doing some searching and the names of some of the hotels are scary. I guess I will check into Florence Friday night get unpacked, and Saturday head to Denmark with my DG gear to get a round or 2 in and afterward use the GPS to find somewhere to stay in the vicinity.
Do you know if anyone will be playing there Saturday?
Is there anyway I can register online? I would have registered earlier, but didn't know I was going to Florence until the last minute.
EDIT:
There is one other thing does anyone know the address of the course. I have found one place that says 6505 Carolina Hwy, and then another place that says 1956 S Palmetto Ave

My arrival time will depend on some last minute travel details and the weather report. They are calling for heavy rain Sat. Sunday has a better forcast, but all players should bring some rain gear, just in case.
Another important announcement I must make. All players on the pre-reg list plus the last paypal I received from J M are in. Crestwood has informaed me that they have 24 working carts. This means that we must cap the event at 48 players. We currently have 15 spots left available. They are first come first serve. If anyone had plans to show up Sunday and register on the day of, you may want to come early or contact me ASAP.

It'll give me a good reason to stop at REI on my way thru Charlotte.
If I get to Charlotte before dark friday I might be able to get another course under my belt. What do you recommend playing in Charlotte if I only had enough time to play one course there? I met Stan last year at the Earlewood Classic and played a few rounds with him and Alan. Two awesome people. Well enough of my yapping before I hijack this thread.

Rennysaince is the best, but it is pretty tough.
Hornet's Nest is excellent also.
Play both. They are both close to INT 77.

I'd like to thank Jonas for allowing me to withdraw from the tournament on Friday evening. I have only withdrawn from 2 tournaments in 10+ years of playing, this one being the second. I'm just getting over being sick, and the weather (2nd day of thunder storms, temps in the forties, and 10-15 mph winds) along with the lack of concrete tee pads, made me decide to withdraw this weekend to ensure that I'm healthy and ready to play in the Earlwood Classic next week. I hope the rains miss Denmark and you all have a great time on this enjoyable course. - Mel Shuman

The event was a difficult test of disc golf. High winds, rain, muddy tee pads and cold temps made it a real tough day for many. Aaron played well and won the Open division. Tradd almost came back to catch him, but fell 1 stroke short in the end. To all the players who came out despite the forecast, Gene Kemper, the Crestwood CC, Gene's wife, Wood, Lauren, KJ, Darrell, Cuban, Chad, Wright Life and Innova Champion Discs I want to say thank you.
