Calling all Sponsors! The JO '09 Tornament Comittee is dilegently looking for more sponsors for the tourney. We have several ways individuals or companies can sponsor:
Tournament Stamped CFR Disc are on sale for $20. This is an easy way to sponsor the tourney. Limited quantities exist so if you want one, let us know. Pictures to follow shortly.
Hole Sponsorship for $50. If you would like to just sponsor a hole, let us know. A full color hole sign and mention in the players brochure included
Tournament sponsorship packages from $100 to $2500. Click http://www.rcdga.org/SponsorShip_Letter_09_Final.pdf for sponsorship package to open and print.
RCDGA will also host two fundraising monthly tournaments in Feburary and March. Be on the lookout for more info on those...
The Jacksonville Open has continued to be a supporter of the Clara White Mission. We were able to donate $1200 last year and still have a record setting payout! We are unable to accomplish this without the help of sponsors so all help is appreciated!
thanks!

OSTERTIP
Mar 25 2009, 11:59 AM
Thats funny.....
Our event is full nearly two weeks out, and you say we are begging them....
maybe bribing them with crazy huge payouts, free food both days, and tons of CTP's and other cash prizes....
But hey you can see for yourself when you decide you have to have a chance at all that money too....
Simple economics.... big payouts = full events every time...
but you're prolly right we must be begging them....
Rhyno
Mar 25 2009, 12:00 PM
Went over well... It wasn't about hijacking Dave... it was about getting exposure... big difference. The BG Ams is huge... the name and courses are what draws people to your tournament. I was actually planning on attending until our tournament ended up on the same weekend.
Jax offers something totally different from BG and those who plan on attending either event do so no matter what.
I do apologize for those who feel I "Hijacked" that thread... I never saw it as that. I do feel however a lot of that animosity came from the fact BG ams doesn't appear to have the support this year as it did last year... although your numbers are gowing up and for that I am truly happy. I would never want that event to not happen. The BG AM and PRO Events are historic to Disc Golf.
With all that beign said, I accomplished what I set out to do... I got our tournament the exposure it needed...
Besides all this.. It wasn't the AM's I was after... we really wanted to bulk up our pro side of this event... and we accomplished that as well... largest open field ever at 22.
So...again...thanks for posting... this is good stuff.
bgwvdave
