Hi all
I think i have just completed collecting every hot stamp they made for the 2001 C E Aviar (Bright Yellow) I have 13 different stamps including an X-out. I have done extensive checking and all that know say i have every one including the Yellow CE Millenium. I also have the gold 2001 Masters Cup. I was just wonderning if i had the only complete set and what they would be worth if I ever decide to part with them. All are new and unthrown. Any help would be appreciated. I will list them next.
Thanks

Take the picture. Then upload the picture to a free hosting site like:

Once it's uploaded look for the "messageboard/forum" code. Copy and paste the code into your PDGA message board post. It's very quick and easy.

I have one of those...
Very nice disc.
A wall hanger.
But I think your time would have been better spent on rocs. These putters don't seem to be nearly as valuable in the online marketplace. People have the impression that they are slick, which I think is somewhat true, and that they are too rare to replace, which is also probably true.
I would say a ballpark of $250-$420.

You may be correct about the worth but I do have a bit more than that invested so I will hang on to them. I would think the entire set would be worth $750+ maybe I am wrong. Thanks for your advice

I've got an X-Out that's slightly red along the bead...is that normal for 1st Run CE's, or do I have an oddity? I'm assuming the red happened due to changing the color being used in the mold?
my_hero
Jan 20 2009, 04:36 PM
Rusty, Maybe, but you may have stored it next to and touching a red CE disc for a prolonged period of time. I have a few discs that have red transfer on them from red CE discs.

Jan 20 2009, 04:40 PM
Unfortunately I would have no way of telling...it was already red along the bottom when I bought it
I'll have to get a pic of it with something that provides more detail than my cell phone camera and post that :D

Once beat-in, the feel of a CE Aviar is tough to beat - not slick at all, more 'velvety'.

I was told by Ken Folger, who ran the 2001 am worlds that he never saw one. I don't think with his info that they made one for that tourney. Have you seen one?
There was also the Caldecott Open in California when you played Berkeley and then Martinez on Sunday. We had a hot stamp with Bobby Hoellworth throwing a disc thru the tunnel--the Caldecott tunnel connects the East Bay Area w/ Contra Costa County--and a basket on the other side. These were first run CE aviars--I have a few and beat in they are like velvet :) Another one to try and find...

I was told by some Innova factory workers a while ago that the TRUE 1st run (not labeled as such) Q Omega's are identical to the CE Aviars and I could never feel a difference. That being said, I had an X-out in white; and still have a Millenium stamp in white, the blueberry '02 World's, a hot pink and a blueberry (2) Sandy Point DG Resort mini-stamps and 2 bright yellow Zonedriven stamps.
These are the bomb, stable enough to go 300', I've had one in my bag since '03. It's flight characteristics haven't changed and I have my only two tourney aces with it, almost 3 yrs apart to the day.

The original Q Omegas were a small bead Aviar. This run came out at the same time as the regular run CE Aviars, the true Champion Edition plastic. You can also tell by the production grooves on the top flight plate that it is a first run. Plus when we had discs stamped we usually did 25.
Limited stamped 1st run. I jsut sold it's counterpart on ebay about 2 weeks ago, a bar stamped 1st run.
