$30 for one Star Ontario Roc or $50 for the set. Here is the Hornet's Nest Roc, a rendition of "The Gauntlet" hole, one that nobody ever forgets after playing the Nest. My picture lacks a bit of clarity. I have never photographed discs before.

Nope, I actually love playing Renny Gold - look at my profile, it's listed in my top 5 courses.

I just don't see the logic in me spending 100 bux on entry fee and 30 bux on gas to likely not cash.

Just not playing well right now so I don't see the point in wasting that money.

I am pretty sure there are more pros from North Carolina than this. Asheville, RALEIGH, the coast, come on. There are more pros from out of the state than in. What's the deal, NC? I guess they didn't hear about the $3000 added cash.

I hear we'll have Schusterick (again) as well as the west coast phenom, Paul McBeth. Last round he played in the Carolinas was LEAD CARD at the USDGC.

Look, RADL is taking it one event at a time. The Pro Xtown is the 3rd RADL PDGA event already this year (4th PDGA event in the area counting the Winter Jam). We just just wrapped up the AM Xtown, Kirk already posted the info for Pro Xtwon. I'm sure it'll be on the schedule soon, now that paypal is up. RADL currently has a limited amount of volunteers doing a lot of work.

I haven't been around that long to understand the orgins of the Raleigh vs Charlotte rivarly, but it seems like it's devolved into a bunch petty bickering. Everyone loves a friendly rivarly, but this crap is getting annoying to me. Can't we all get along, lol.

Captain
Mar 18 2009, 12:14 PM
Just to make this clear to everyone. We have always waited until the Am Crosstown was over before we start to focus on the Pro Crosstown. The Pro Crosstown registration is up at raleighdiscgolf.com and it has been up since Monday (after the AM Crosstown was over). I have contacted PDGA HQ and it will be posted on the schedule either today or at worst by the end of the day on Friday.

As it stands right now we really only have a few folks that are running events and it looks like next year may be even more difficult for us. The reason for this is that the Am Crosstown TD's for the past quite a few years have decided to take a break from running the event. This leaves the Am Crosstown up to Me, Mike and Stick. As well as Buckhorn, Pro Crosstown and the FDCs. Not to mention Summer Doubles and the monthlies that very few folks volunteer to run.

You can also include with all of that the other stuff that Mike and I take care of. Mike handles: most of RADLs website duties, updating NC points Series stuff and that website, handling Paypal for all of the RADL events as well as many other clubs in the local area, he is also the RADL president, disc orders for the club, various and sundry items leading up to USDGC, Tupelo Bay.

I am not going to list all of the stuff that I am doing. I am going to say that with all of the stuff that Mike does and all of the stuff that I am doing we also want to be able to play some events. I am planning on playing 35 events this year.

By the way, we are busting our humps to make sure that our courses are as playable as possible. The rains have left them overly soggy. We are aggressively spreading gravel on paths and dealing with the most slippery paths as we can. It is harder to do the work of a person in his 30's and early 40's when you are mid 50's. Well, actually it is impossible, but I get by with a little help from my friends. You get the picture.
