I have seen last years champion , and intend to beat the pants off him again. He just got lucky, he had info that you could make putts using the top of the basket.

Who is running this tnmt, and where can we register. It's getting close.

bgwvdave
Jan 24 2009, 09:46 PM
from the longs there are arguably 3 holes that it is almost impossible to get to the green in one on. Holes 4,6 and 16. so they could be argued as par 4's. Hole 17 is close to the same. so i guess you could call par from the longs 57 or 58. let's put it this way in the best weather (which buckhorn is not known for) 54 from the longs is a really good score

deoldphart
Jan 25 2009, 06:40 AM
I agree with the Wave. Trey being an Intermediate, from the longs a 60 would put you in the cash, and a 54 from the shorts would be worth a chestbump, or two. Good Job yesterday Trey. Your game is coming along great. You'll be a force soon. Look out Wave, trey is just beginning, and coming soon to a card near you.I get to play my age card..LOL :D

Advanced Women/Intermediate Men
Round 1 - White
Round 2 - White
Round 3 - White
Round 4 - White

Scorecard (http://www.raleighdiscgolf.com/scorecards/buckhorn09int.pdf) [PDF]

All other Divisions
Round 1 - White
Round 2 - Blue
Round 3 - White
Round 4 - Blue

Scorecard (http://www.raleighdiscgolf.com/scorecards/buckhorn09.pdf) [PDF]

Of course this could change depending on the weather (as we have had happen in the past.

Due to the short days at this time of year the FIRST ROUND will start at 9:00 AM

Looking for info on the Pro XTown this year. The only reference I can find is on the USDGC site, which has it listed as April 25/26, which is the same weekend as Bowling Green. Could find no info on the RADL site either - who's got the skinny?

Going in about 20 minutes, but last check I would say HIGH about 85% capacity. No standing water under walk from 9 to 10 but swampy. About 10 feet from 9's basket to water. Same for 11, maybe less. On the other hand, hole one is nice and dry!

YOU MUST CHECK IN AT EVENT CENTRAL BY 8:40 AM ON SATURDAY OR YOUR SPOT WILL BE GIVEN TO THE NEXT PLAYER ON THE WAIT LIST!!!!!

Jersey Mikes will be there taking lunch orders on both days. If you do not play to order food from Jersey Mikes you will likely want to bring a lunch as there is not food "close" by to the course. Due to short days the lunch break might not be as long as other events.

YOU MUST CHECK IN AT EVENT CENTRAL BY 8:40 AM ON SATURDAY OR YOUR SPOT WILL BE GIVEN TO THE NEXT PLAYER ON THE WAIT LIST!!!!!

The part has agreed to open the gates a little early for us so that we can get everything going. The gates will be open at 7:45 am.

This years players party will be at Em R Wings right after the 2nd round. Em R Wings is located just a few miles from the course. The owners will have beer and wings specials for Disc golfers. For those of you that know Billy Leonard he is the main Chef at Em R Wings. (So no complaining about your food. j/k)

Location: 518 E.Williams Apex NC 27502. 919-387-0082

Traveling north on US1 take the Apex exit. (I think its exit 95.) Go left off the exit ramp. Go thru two traffic lights. Once your past the second light Em R Wings will be on your left past Ace Hardware. Its tucked in the back corner of the strip mall. You will see a pick-up truck in the parking lot with a yellow Em R Wings sign on it.

I hope to see you all there.

May 09 2009, 10:28 PM
Yeah, exactly, Dangle. I wouldn't want to give anybody the idea that I was upset about it not going into the ratings this time, I was just curious what the problem was and if it could still potentially go in the next one or if the tournament results are effectively dead now.

If anybody from RADL wants to let me know, I'd be happy to help any way I can if there's not enough volunteers to get this stuff done. I don't know that there's anything I can do, but let me know if so. I wish I still lived in Raleigh so I could come to the RADL meetings.

All tournaments each year eventually have gotten rated in that calendar year for the past several years even if the results are turned in as late as Jan 10th of the following year. We don't recommend waiting that long since some new players may not get their first ratings for a few updates if the event is turned in late.
