I think that Victoria is either the weekend before Gonzales or Mar 7/8; with TX State Am Doubles on Feb 28/Mar 1.

MJ,
$32 + $5 is pretty steep for a trophy only C-tier. Wasn't Gonzales $32 for MA2 last year including the ace pot?

I like seeing trophy only tournaments but think the fees should be less than tournaments with payout in order to be successful.

Why is there a course fee for Gonzales, the park is not a pay for play private park?

mitchjustice
Jan 09 2009, 10:51 AM
MA2 is not trophy only...We are paying out 100% of the field 100% of payout...example Gonzales $20 base entry--Every player gets paid out $20(pick your own at the event or a voucher to the website)...Example Red Rock--$30 base entry + $10 players pack= $40 payout to 100% of the field(pick your own or a voucher to the website)

The Final bonus money will payout just like it did last year

Paul...we will have a $5 course fee at all the "public" courses this year...this will cover park fees , port-o-potties etc....we will have a $10 greens fee at the private venues

This fee seems high, but will not even cover all the cost at some events

Example COTO...150 players X $5 fee = $750

Park Fees = $500 per day
POPotties = $225 for the weekend
Total = $1200 for the weekend

Thanks, that makes sense. Never thought of it that way.

Looking forward to the tour again. It was a blast last year, can't imagine what it is going to be like this year.

Park Fees = $500 per day

You guys have to pay that much to use a public disc golf course? Hope our city doesn't get on that boat.....it cost us nothing here in San Angelo to use a park.

I need to clarify the information about "$5 Course Fee"...

This year we will be raising money for the courses we use on the Tour

Any money not actually spent on course fees will be donated directly to the course(or local clubs course improvement fund)

We will be raising money in other ways as well...just wanted everyone to know where the money is going

Speaking of courses...

We might have to re-locate the Final( as the Ranch is for sale)

Looking for 2 courses close together that would want to host an "A" tier

I hope, along with everyone else, that the ranch does not close. Unfortunately with land values being what they are, someone could come along and offer "stupid money". That's where John would be stupid not to take it.

In the event that happens, Live Oak (both club and course) will be ready to take up the slack, if we have to. We are working toward splitting the course up into two distinct 18 hole courses, and it looks like the college next door will be installing another 18 holes.

So it would be with heavy heart, but we will be ready if needed.

I never should have used "trophy only" on the website...

We are paying out 100%+ to all divisions at all of our events...overall we averaged 130% payout last year

MA2,MA3, and FW3 will have a 100% payout to 100% of the field at the "C" tiers...and a 133% payout at the "B" tiers...$40 for last place at a "B" tier is not bad

Eric...as someone who played in 6 HOTT events last year, we value your input...please feel free to call me at 830-392-6060 with any concerns about the Tour

The Mystery Box has been removed from the qualifier list

Players now only need to play in three events to qualify for the Final Bonus

I may still run a non-sanctioned event that weekend, but it not be part of HOTT09
