A week ago I bought a KC Worlds fundraiser Star Monarch. I've been throwing the Champion version since it came out and use it pretty exclusively as my understable driver/roller.

My Star Monarch is white with a weird stamp that looks like a computer chip under a magnifying glass along with a Monarch butterfly. It is domey and pretty stiff. It had sharp flashing on the bottom that I took off with a microfiber towel.

My Star Monarch was more stable out of the box than any Champion I've thrown. It seems pretty quick with about the stability of a TL or an Orc. When I threw it with hyzer it would come up, but not over. To turn it over I had to power it flat or give it a little anny. I cracked a couple of trees and the stability has not changed any. I'm finding that this is a different disc than my Champion, but still very impressive in terms of speed, glide, and straightness. I just have to trust myself to throw it flat (my arm wants to give the Monarch hyzer).

I had a freak run domey Champion that was similar in stability to my PAW09 Star one. The dome on that disc seriously changes the flight characteristics. Both had their flashing removed, and both were similar in HSS to a Wraith with a tiny amount of LSS.

My go to driver used to be the Star road runner. I still throw it quite a bit.

When the Monarch came out I found the champion one to have a bit more fade than my roadrunners. They would turn as I threw them flat, but usually came back more than I wanted.

I picked up some Star Monarchs from Jeremy at Dynamic Discs this weekend, and threw them around quite a bit with some buddies. The ones that we threw were about what I thought the Monarchs should have been all along. Mine I did have to throw flat, (they wouldn't turn over with hyzer) but they didn't fade as hard that the end of flight like my champion.

Overall I think I like this disc more than the champion, and as it seasons, I think it will get better.
