good job 3rd coast. you guys still have work to do to make these events even better. example post payouts, mark drop zones, ensure all rules are clearly stated on where OB begins. (road or posts) score card on back said public roads. so there was confusion on that as well as the little parking lot on the right side of hole a.

Dec 29 2008, 03:34 PM
The last minute nature of the event has alot to do with it plus the holidays kept alot of us busy. We had some technical difficulties with missing a printer cable. AM payout was a nightmare but we are learning.

I discussed the gravel parking lot, hole 11 and a hole during players meeting. Either you didnt listen or you werent there. Gravel road and pylons were discussed and we even had a couple of questions...
Vic open is third weekend of Feb, it used to be the 2nd, but it was juggled around last year cause of a mace man event.

I think this is fairly accurate.
Victoria Open February 19-20 2005. Tommy Isenberg/Billy Nelson
Victoria Open February 18-19 2006. Chris Himing/Billy Nelson
Victoria Open February 17-18 2007. Rick Danger
Victoria Open February 23-24 2008. Team Justice
I missed the players meeting. Had zero OB, no fives and only two birdies for the day. I think I beat three Pros while winning INT. Weenie arms are not that bad.

I thought that Mark ran it twice ('02 & '03)
I can't find anything documented before 2001
2001 - Feb 24-25 - Don Wilchek
2002 - Feb 23-24 - ???
2003 - Feb 22-23 - Mark Atwood
2004 - Feb 21-22 - Chris Himing
I think this is fairly accurate.

Rudy Martinez ran it in 2000. It was the year that CE plastic came out and Himing was there and threw a CE Valkyrie into the concrete floor of the pavilon then passed it around showing how it had not 'tacoed'. After that, those puppies went like hot cakes for $15.
It was also my first sanctioned tournament. I believe Mark ran it in 2002 also, because I did not play it in 2001, but played VIC then when Mark came out with his stamp of evolution for disc golf.
