$3 dollars per person to pay for the sanctioning fee (50 dollars) and I will show up with coffee, OJ and dounuts for the AM.

I usually do 1 dollar but this is not for a charity (25 dollars REDUCED SANCTIONING FEED). I have to pay these fees out of my own pocket whether or not I get enough people to even pay for the sanctioning. Last tournament I was out 30 dollars after the SANCTIONING, coffee, OJ and dounuts and that was after Goete tipped me 20 bucks. THANKS GOETE! HOPE SANTA FINDS YOUR HOUSE THIS YEAR! (Oh yea, I did buy prizes for the longest traveled, 1st place and 2nd place finishes plus the best second round and the worst second round)

to put it short - Tournament fees go back to pay for the tournament

Its hard to break even when you're not trying to make any money off these things.

There will be people out there without a partner but looking for one so you still can play if you don't have a partner.

I need a doubles partner (I did get 6th in the world this year!)

Going to Cancun in the morning and taking the blowfly II and two mini drivers with me. Plan on throwing off the biggest pyrmid in the Ruins.

Hope to see a bunch of people when I get back. I am doubling with J Herndon, the Manor Champion on the HOTT Tour!

Hey I am in cancun right now and the weather is awsome. Its cloudy and windy but the temp is still awsome. I chuncked brand new blow fly in the ocean today and its gone forever! Oh well, at least I still have my mini drivers. Going to the ruins and going to play some mini object golf. wanted to play with the fly but looks like that idea is long gone. The darn thing floats but the current pulled it out to the sea.

Since the market is cheep here I think I may take it upon myself and buy some cool prizes for the tournaments.

I need to know if there is interest in this tournament out there because I haven't seen one single signup on titledisc.com

Please post me or preregister so I know this is worth my time and all the money I have spent out of my own pocket. I am doing this for you guys and gals but I'm not getting much response.

Next year I told everyone I will be hosting B Tiers so I hope that draws more interest. They will also be one day instead of two. I have already received 200 in added cash for the first B tier and I hope to make it to 500.

Ware, thanks for the heads up man. Have you ever played at steeple chase? Its great for doubles.

I will be holding a long distance driving contest during the break. Everyone will get one throw and the winner will win a free entry for one of the last chance tournaments.

One more game I want to have is a putting accuracy challenge. If you can make 10 putts out of 10 from 30 feet out I will give you a free entry into one of the last chance tournaments. Everyone will only get one chance at this.

This should spice up the fun and hopefully draw some more attention to the doubles. :p

Steady Leady and I may be there for this one. The only thing is that [censored] poison ivy keeps steady away from kyle

Tell Guero not worry. I played the course on Saturday. There is still some poison ivy out there but most of it is pretty dormant. It's not all over the fairways right now like in the summer.

Well?
Who?
Did it happen?
Where?
Scores?
D.Temple you have been exposed to disc golf events in Texas. Ask yourself: are the events you are running helping the face of golf in Texas? .......In Texas if you are going to run events....there is an expected standard.
Anyone can run an event........Texas needs to take steps forward in running events....steps backwards will not be tolerated. I would be happy to work with you in future adventures, if this is not want you want to do, then run minis.
I hope you don't take this as a personal attack.
I am passionately trying to make PDGA events in Texas to a higher level. So we lead the world in growth and professional.

Olse and Yeti won by 5 strokes in a field of 4 Open teams.

I'd say there was a good turnout, especially considering the weather and XC status of the event.

On a personal note, I don't really like your tone. I know you're a great player and a great promoter of our sport and I respect you for both of those reasons. However, I can't understand why you'd threaten someone for running events that don't conform to your idea of what tournaments should be.

What are these standards? What will happen to a TD if they don't follow them? "Steps backwards will not be tolerated" sounds pretty authoritarian to me.

I, for one, am happy to see someone motivated enough to start running his own events. Daniel's tournaments keep getting bigger and better and I hope he keeps them up. They meet my standards just fine.

You forgot this line ......I hope you don't take this as a personal attack

MY THOUGHTS are based on sancationing the event......first he would of not lost/donate money to PDGA.
The event could of been ran as a SN qualifer or just a two round mini.
I like seeing new blood in the TD arena.....but if its going to be done then shoudn't it be run in the right venue and done right.
And my idea of how a tournament is supposed to be ran is based on your own comment" I know you're a great player and a great promoter of our sport and I respect you for both of those reasons."
I think I know what I am doing and very willing to share my experiences.

I would like to start off by thanking everyone to come out and play some competitive golf games.

It was a thrill having Olse and Reading there but its to bad for the new Pros. That's how it goes though.

The scores will be up as soon as I get time to count them.
Please be patient and I will have them out by Christmas.

Phish - I have your chair.

I don't have a staff to run these tournaments so it's tough to play and try to keep things going between rounds. I don't think I can do this efficiently enough to run B tiers on my own so I am asking or help. These will be 1 Day B-Tiers. These "C" and "XC" tiers are really just minis to me except we get what we paid for...ratings and points.

Thanks again for the turnout and I wish everyone Happy Holidays
