i was going to say the boss at first but i have to say the Monarch (even though I dont throw it)
basing it purely on the somewhat new idea of changing the wing and how much it has impacted those that have thrown it (forecasting the new notched out wing driver to be making HUGE waves when its released)

Hands down it would have to be the ESP Force!

I 100% agree... the force has been the best thing for me since I started playing disc golf 5 years ago.

I have to say with no doubt that the best disc for me had to be the Echo Star Xcaliber with the first run star stamp. It has cut more strokes off of my game than any other disc and that is what I am looking for in a disc.

Does the retooling of the element count? If so that. if not, the boss

I would also agree with this as it seems in tourneys that when I would throw a force people not using the force would use the ECO X-Cal. I have thrown it and it seemed to be very similar :DSO if you need a conter part try the force :D

This was a good year for new discs. I throw the Boss, Xcaliber, Monarch, and Voodoo.
The Xcal is just fast and stable, nothing too new or exciting.
The Boss is the best distance driver to come out since the Wraith imo. I am using this disc a lot more than I thought I would when it came out and I am getting better average distance with it than I have with anything else.
The Monarch would probably get my vote b/c it is something new and there was not a lot of hype or marketing surrounding its release yet it still seems to be very popular. This disc is fun and I love throwing or rolling it.
The Voodoo is my putter, and I feel like it was made for me. The extremely comfortable grip combined with a straight flight, good float, and great plastic make this the best putter I've ever used. As my putter I use this disc more than any other new disc.
I must mention something about the timelessness of my Buzz, Teebird, and Predator b/c these discs have been in my bag for years and will probably stay there for more to come. I don't see disc companies trumping these staples with anything new.

I'll throw in another vote for the Force, with the Echo X-cal a close second. Although I probably do throw the X-cal a little more as it's my sidearm disc of choice.

I have to agree with the first 2 posters: Discmania PD and the Monarch. Both quickly found their way into my bag after getting them.

force is playing catch up with the destroyer/xcal. fyi
boss is great, but the monarch is very forgiving and controllable for it's speed.
it gets my vote.

Great review discspeed, as usual.
I vote for the Monarch. It is gently and consistently understable at a wide range of speeds and no other disc this fast holds a turn that deep into its flight - especially in candy plastic!

Too many to pick from. The Boss is long, the Forces are predictable, the Zones are money (more blue heavy ones please), and the Pig was pretty cool too. I may be the only thrower who wasn't really impressed with the Monarch. Both the Force and the Zone made my game better by allowing me to make good shots more consistently than I could with existing discs. The Boss would get my vote I suppose because it didn't just help my game, but changed it. I look at holes differently now, knowing that I have more distance, and throwing a Boss seems to add D to my other drivers too. To echo DSpeed, some things are irreplaceable, and I would probably be more upset at losing my beat pro rhyno than just about anything other than my favorite putter. KP

TIE - Monarch and Boss
Both do completely the opposite for my throwing style and at longer distances with the same effort as my also "new" SL(technically it wasn't approved until '08  :D)
