This will offer a great chance to folks around here to check out the new and improved and much lengthened holes #6 & #7.
It may also be the last chance to play holes #16 & #17 as they currently exist, as probable pond construction will alter them by the time of the Stoney Hill Challenge.
If you're the kind of player inclined to throw off the fairway, it's a bit easier nowadays to find discs with all the foliage gone. Plus, in the "Captain's Choice" round, you won't have to throw from those nasty lies (if your partner doesn't do the same).

And...........
a chance to get in one last event in 2008, albeit non-sanctioned, during an otherwise quiet time on the disc golf calendar.

10 days to go. The course is in it's final stages of grooming and as tough as ever.
$50 on 50 option still available (singles play only). Course record with recent changes is 52 shot by Coral. So a 50 is definately possible.

Early weather forecasts are for 76 degrees, or 70 degrees, depending on who you believe (if anyone), and 10% chance of rain.
John & Chris Wright will be catering with their excellent chili.
So.....Either the weather will be seasonal and we'll be warming you up at lunchtime....or you'll be trying to find a way to cool off from the weather and the lunch, a nice problem to have for mid-winter.

...and just added to the weather forecast:
"WINDY"
Those who played the 2008 Stoney Hill Challenge know what that means.

reminder that if you don't have a partner but still want to play, then come on out and we'll find one for you. David and I will pair up with anyone who needs a partner. I know some other players will be coming solo as well.
FYI - 12 pack of beer for longest putt on 18. 12 pack of orange soda for anyone under 21.

Thanks to all who came out and found that the "mess" in "Chris "Mess" Bash" was not a typo. The attendance was more than we'd guessed for a holiday-week non-sanctioned event. Please come again when the mud is not quite as deep.

8 months, no play, and the martinez duo is still on top!!! (that's 8 mos for me)...The round that scared me was playing singles and just knowing Paul would stink it up...Then [censored], he beat me!!!!! He always seems to play well while playing against/or with me... In 2009 I'm going to try the Advanced program again, see if I can get paul to move up, and we'll see what happens. Plan is to play 12-15 tournaments in 2009. that's always the plan that never works out!
GREAT TOURNAMENT Chris and David. Also a big thanks to John and Chris Wright. The chilly was BANGIN!

Be sure to make Stoney Hill Challenge (April 19) one of them. Let's see if you can shoot in the 50s with leaves on the trees.....
