My new years resolution is going to be learning Spanish. I've had zero instruction up to this point other than simple basics and a few dirty words. Not necessarily trying to become fluent, but at least be competent for now. Would taking classes at the local CC be the best route? Has anybody tried using the Rosetta Stone program or any other similar program/book/tapes? Seems I should have taken this instead of Deutsch.

Gracias.

I have heard good things about the Rosetta Stone program.

After a while, start watching Univision or Telemundo. Sabado Gigante can be understood without understanding the language.
