I debated on what thread to post this on or what to call a new thread.

I decided to start a new thread because of the stuff hitting the fan this next week.

There has always been "Conspiracy Theories" about a New World Order, specially after George Bush said those words back in the 90's.

However, there has also always been those that want to see a one world government.

So I am going to start this thread off with a poll.

Do you want to see us move towards a "New World Order" one world government system, or do you want to see the USA stay a Sovereign country.

Bretton Woods II -- No Way (http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=29501)

There is no way around this, the G20 is meeting this weekend may be the start of a world Central Bank. It may only start as a Euro type of money, but it may grow to the point we have no choice.

Pat puts it into prospective on how the USA will not/should not buy into this idea. We may be down, but we are NOT out yet.

I posted on another thread what the French President said should come of this meeting, read the link above to see what the British PM is saying. It may shock you.

if one studies the scripture then he or she sees this one world order as a sign of the return.

So the religious right should be supporting this. Don't they want the end of the world? The rapture and all that?

What about the "religious left?" :D

Why would the "religious" want "the end of the world" when so many they love and care about as well as those they don't personally know, haven't come to believe and trust in Him yet?

the 'end of the world' is each moment. our universe hits the refresh key every moment. the Last Judgement is Now as well. it is quite common for religious flocks to misread religious truth to be a function of chronological history and to read 'end of the world' and 'return' revelations into the mess the world is in at any given time. The year 2000 was one of the biggest magnets for this kind of thinking.

Even a literal interpretation though suggests the scriptures are as relevant at any given chronological moment as any other. if you believe in the holy spirit -- God is everpresent and we need not wait till he/she/It comes 'back'...

The Christian Bible is about the God worshipped by people from the Middle East. as Vine Deloria Jr put it, here in North America, God is Red. but i suppose in a universal sense God defies description, Christian, Muslim, Native American, Hindu, Taoist, or whatever...

You obviously don't know that Obama is a comic book collector (I'm not making this up). I think any collector would do the same thing.

I didn't read much other than they were going to meet,

So 20 world leaders got together, each talked about 15 min and then they had photo shoots.

They agreed that they should work together.

they meet again in April.

Interesting, on Friday night at the State dinner, Bush was sitting with the Brazil leader on one side and the President of China on the other.

True, however I use to think we should do that at one time. Sense then I have become a true Conservative and tend to believe what the Constitution was intended to be. (not a living Constitution, but the "Rule of Law" to keep government at bay)
