So I've been out in Allentown since Monday. Played F.E. Walter Dam in the Poconos on the drive here. Beautiful course that I played 11 years ago. It is in such better shape than it was the last time I played it. Truly one of the most unique courses out there. Also got to play about 11 holes at Hickory Run State park in the POconos as well.
Got to play Covered Bridge yesterday which was a cool short 18 hole wooded course. Schenley-esque in distance but some really nicely designed holes with lots of elevation changes. Also played Jordan Creek and Little Lehigh yesterday. Jordan is spectacular, with hole #18 being one of the best holes that I have ever played. Just an awesome course all around with the scenery, location, and design. Highly recommended. Little Lehigh was big and long. Wide open, lots of bombing shots and SO MUCH walking in between holes it made for a very tiring round.
Now we are trying to go to Tyler today, but its raining, so we might stay another day and play tomorrow, and possibly show up to Seneca on Friday???
so, who's all going to be at Seneca? I think I might sign up tonight.
