I thought it would be interesting to see what types of plastic people prefer over others. I personally like Z/Champion because it takes forever for it to beat up.

Are we talking about drivers here? I find that putters in premium plastics just don't stick in the chains the way a DX or soft plastic does. I find they tend to deflect off chains when they hit a little too left or right when a softer plastic might stick. This means my putters are always getting slowly destroyed but i think this characteristic of the plastic helps it grab (covalent bonds absorbing impact energy?)

I voted as if we're talking about drivers. I was skeptical at first but now I love Star plastic. It just seasons so well

Plastic ... any kind of plastic is just cool if you love to throw discs. Sorry I can't be more specific.

That's why I made it 90-100%, but if it is very different between Drivers and Mid's, assume drivers.

ESP/Star? not comparable.

I prefer Innova's Pro line or DiscCraft X for the grip, but the ESP Ace Race discs from '07 and '08 have me looking at other DiscCraft options.

But you know opinions, everyone's got one. :D

I'm not too picky on drivers. Probably Star for stable/understable and Champ for overstable

Mids and Putters all 11x and before KC

Probably Champ/Opto/Z for drivers and midrange drivers.
But I prefer dx and Zero for putters and upshots...

Most of my Drivers are Pro or champ

All but one of my mids and putters are DX/S

I have 6 Champion/Z discs in my bag, and 6 Star/ESP. I like them both for different reasons.

my favrite plastic for drivers and mids has been (from both Innova and Discraft) what I believe a "hybrid" or transitional mix of Star/Champion or ESP/Z. They are not clear and not opaque, and have a pearlescent somewhat swirly appearance.
To me,these have had the best combination of durability and grip. And the stability of discs in this plastic are always consistant.

Close race right now.

Was that a sympathy vote for D/DX?
