Hello All!

Now that it's getting a bit cold outside, it's time to start dreaming of playing disc golf on a warm sandy beach with crystal clear aqua blue water...which is casual by the way... :D

Sun King Disc Sports (http://www.sunkingdiscs.com) in conjunction with DGA (http://www.discgolfassoc.com), Innova Champion Discs (http://www.innovadiscs.com) and Sun King Travel (http://www.sunkingtravel.com) present:

DISC GOLF CRUISE - Half Moon Cay, Bahamas - Jan 2010

Please come join our hosts, Shawn Sinclair and Juliana Korver along with Jay & Des Reading on the next installments of the Disc Golf Cruise (http://www.discgolfcruise.com) which will set sail January 11-16 (5-Day) and January 17-24 (7-Day) 2010! We tried everything we could to get a sailing in 2009, but with some delays in getting some logistics worked out, we had to sneak into early 2010, but we think it'll be worth the wait!

The disc golf tournament will play out on Half Moon Cay, a gorgeous private island in the Bahamas that was voted "best private island" by Porthole Cruise Magazine the last (4) years. This time around, we listened to previous DGC attendees and we've decided to give cruisers the choice between a fun 5-day trip or the more luxurious 7-day itinerary.

January 11-16 2010 (5-Day Eastern Caribbean)
Carnival Destiny - Miami, FL
Fun Day At Sea ; Grand Turk ; Half Moon Cay, Bahamas ; Nassau, Bahamas ; Miami, FL

Inside category 4B: $505.86
Ocean view category 6B: $575.86
Balcony category 8B: $675.86

January 17-24 2010 (7-Day Eastern Caribbean)
Carnival Glory - Miami, FL
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas ; Fun Day At Sea ; St. Thomas, USVI ; San Juan, Puerto Rico ; Grand Turk ; Fun Day At Sea ; Miami, FL

Inside category 4B: $681.13
Ocean view category 6B: $801.13
Balcony category 8B: $971.13

As with previous Disc Golf Cruises, all attendees will receive either a players or welcome package valued at $25 or more and Sun King Travel will sponsor a cocktail party at the tournament awards ceremony allowing guests 1 hour of complimentary beverages. Also, onboard activities will include a healthy warm up and stretch session with Shawn and Juliana each morning and an interesting and sometimes hilarious installment of the Yeti Road Report with Jay and Des. We also plan to host a putt-putt mini golf tournament on board each cruise as well to see who has some true "ball" golf skills as well.

The tournament entry is $50 for all divisions and will be either a B or C-tier sanctioned PDGA event. (3) players are required to open a division.

A $100 non-refundable per cabin deposit plus tournament entry fees ($50 per person) and $25 per person admin fee is required at time of registration.

Triple and Quad rooms require $100 per person deposit and balcony rooms require a $200 per person deposit.

The deposit fees will go to $100 per person after 11/29/08 with Triple, Quad and Balcony fees remaining the same.

Final payments are not due until October 2009! This means attendees will have nearly a full year to prepare for this awesome experience!

By booking through Sun King Travel (http://www.sunkingtravel.com) (vs. CruiseWorld), we were able to cut our admin fee from $75 to $25 and in addition we were able to give each cabin a $50 room credit which essentially evens out the admin fee.

We've had a great initial response so far with the Disc Golf Cruise registration and we will be posting a confirmed list next week after Thanksgiving. BUT! Time is running out to hold a cabin for the low, low price of $100. After December 1st, the minimum deposit will go up to $200 per cabin. The good news is you will still have a year to pay for the cruise, it's just that you'll need a bit more cash upfront to hold your room come December 2nd...

Happy Gobbler,

FANTASTIC NEWS! We were able to push back the cut-off date for for initial deposits until 12/31/08! In addition, we are only requiring a $100 deposit to hold a room (standard rooms) and we will collect the tourney entries and other fees in 2009. This should make it easier for everyone to get through the holidays and still get on board for what is going to be a fantastic fun time!

Hey kids...

Although we are able to keep the $100 per cabin (standard rooms) initial deposit into 2009, the guaranteed prices will no longer be available after 12/31/08, meaning that if prices go up at all, anyone that hasn't put down an inital deposit will be subject to any increases...SO, if you're interested, give Cindy a call at 352.442.5307 and get in on the fun!

Also, all (40) people that have signed up so far have chosen the 7-day cruise, so the 5-day itinerary has been cancelled and we will not be taking reservations for it.

Happy New Year!

The countdown has begun...1 year from today I'll be in the middle of the Caribbean on the 2010 Disc Golf Cruise along with 90+ disc golfers and their friends and family!

Just updating our status a bit...we have just under 70 total cruisers with 44 registered for the tournament! That means we're essentially half full with exactly a year left to take registrations!

Obviously the event is going to fill again, so if anyone is on the fence or needs more information, call Cindy at SunKingTravel.com, her number is 352.442.5307...

you list Inside category 4B: $681.13
where the site says Inside category 4B: $569.25

also you list the tourney as 50 where the website says 100 when you book, i'm just curious as to what overall price im looking at, i tried the contact on the site, but have not heard back yet

Matt,

There was a typo on the Disc Golf Cruise website regarding the cost of the tournament which is now corrected. The entry fee is $50.

Good News! The cost of some of the cabins on the cruise has actually dropped a bit, thus the difference you are referring to. Anyone who has booked previously will have the new lower price if applicable (not all cabins came down in price).

If you have any further questions or are ready to place a deposit, please call or e-mail Cindy at Sun King Travel...

This is the easiest way to get any answers to your questions...

Thanks,

Hey kids!

A little update on the 2010 Disc Golf Cruise:

Bad news: We have run out of time on holding unsold cabins and Carnival needs what we have left as apparently their business is very brisk...as of Tuesday May 26th, all of our reserved inventory and the locked in pricing that our group has will be released. This means that any cabins booked after this date will be subject to availability and the inevitable price increases that will follow.

Good news: We have an assortment of 16 cabins still locked in at our group price. A $250 deposit (for interior and ocean view rooms) is all that is required to get on this exciting Disc Golf excursion! We have about 60 signed up for the tournament and a total group size of about 90, so there's plenty of room...!

Contact Cindy Barnett at Sun King Travel to make a deposit or go to www.DiscGolfCruise.com for more information!
