Over 3 1/2 hours of footage!

Round Coverage: MPO (& the MPO Race for Third), FPO and MPG (over 1 1/2 hours of the DVD)
Special features: Bloopers, Heartbreakers, Lucky Dogs, Great Shots
New features: Putting Slam, Avery vs. The World

Round coverage (and Avery vs. The World) includes hole overviews with dots moving with the shots to verify where they go. This is way cool.

Free shipping on pre-orders.

I think the Avery vs. The World section is the best 15 minutes of video I've ever put together.

In stores November 25th, ask your favorite store to contact me for wholesale information.

Thanks Woj! I've started putting video sections that did not make the cut on our YouTube page:

So far the Awards, nice runs, and putts from the clipping room floor are posted. More to come.

Sweet, can't wait to get it. I'm hoping I get it Friday, be able to chill out on leftovers and watch some disc golf.

When I got home last night, there was a package on the kitchen table. I rushed over to it...felt like a DVD inside! I flipped it over and...it was junk mail addressed to the previous owner. sigh.

I can't wait to get the VO DVD. I'm going to family stuff Friday night, match play team tournament Saturday, so it'll probably be in the mailbox on Sunday.

I got mine yesterday. A few thoughts on it...

1. The um.. voice? during Avery v. The World was really annoying. ... No, not the deep one, Steve's! ... I kid, I kid. ;) ;) But seriously, don't use that slowed down and deepened voice anymore, it was pretty irksome.

2. The skins were the most entertaining portion of the DVD in past years! Bring them back! Or at least include the doubles, I was REALLY REALLY looking forward to watching the doubles and then the first thing I see when I pop open the case is something informing me that the Vibram Doubles sidegame wasn't included in the DVD :( Did I miss something in the pre-release advertising saying that this wouldn't be included?

3. As usual the action and coverage was top notch during the actual tournament round! Probably the only complaint I have about it is the same as I've had in the past: Get someone, like Barry Schultz, to do analysis. He does a very good job. Your color commentary is great, but a second voice doing analysis would make it even better.

As usual though, I did enjoy the DVD on the whole, keep up the great work!

Feedback is always good, especially good feedback.

I saw severely mixed reactions to that voice. Some folks (my wife Misty among them) busted a gut and said it added to the relatively silly (but entertaining) section. Some said, "it's okay, just don't overdo it." More input on this is good and it lets me gauge what is too far over the top. I would doubt the voice would be back as it would feel like reusinig an old idea (unless it was really loved, and then it would feel like Caddyshack 2 where you're just cashing in.)

I'm pretty sure I never advertised the Dubs would be in there because my plan was to make two less expensive DVDs ($15 each) rather than one $25 DVD. Folks that want to see the tourney and it's fun side stuff will get this DVD, folks that want the Dubs will get the next DVD (due out in early 2009). Folks that want both (Hi Chris!) will need to fork out an extra 5 bucks. (and do so with a smile knowing you are supporting the growth of the tourney!)

I tried this on the 2005 DVD and at that time I had the action flying by to try and squeeze every decent shot onto the DVD. I remember three problems this caused:

1. There was too much talking (imo) during the coverage.
2. Getting together to record was much harder and delayed the project by close to a month.
3. I'm not as patient as I should be in all cases.

With the slower coverage that we went to this year, there probably is room for another voice and I'll have to revisit this in next year's edition. Something I personally would like and would maybe be a compromise step in this direction would be significant player interviews about their goals at the event and their thoughts after the rounds and any holes they'd like to revisit on camera.

This would give us other voices and viewpoints and still give me control on timing and what gets said.

As usual though, I did enjoy the DVD on the whole, keep up the great work!

That's the main thing. Thanks.

Steve.

I think having a pro be a second voice would be cool. kinda like schweb did for the Clash dvd.

for example I like on that dvd when any of the players pull out a disc to throw, schweb tells the audience exactly what it is. makes the dvd more personal, as well as helpful to those trying to learn from watching. the commentator does not have to continuously talk, but it would be nice to get someone who knows the pros well.

Your are saying that there is going to be another Vibram DVD in early 2009? And what is going to be covered on this one? thanks

The Ace Dubs (featuring Feldberg/Jenkins vs. Schultz/McCabe vs. Olsen/Sprague/NEFA Pete)

The Women's Dubs (Val/Burl vs. Des/Liz Lopez vs Angela/Courtney)

The Ancillary Dubs (Sonderfan/Bennett vs. McCoy/Jason Dore vs. J. Reading/Naved Hasnain)

I expect to have two extras sections with a big shots recap and a bloopers.

So far it is looking like each Dubs section will be about 45 minutes in length including almost every shot.

Yeah yeah, and when I remember to include hole distances (I just added these to the Dubs overlays), you'll come up with something else! :D

(feel free to come up with it before I send the Dubs to replication!)
