Thats right little buckos.

Vote for ME!!!!

As your Admin I promise that I will fight for the short arms and bring a DG voice back to the little people and I will tax the money grabbing Pros like Coda and stop the greedy pro lobbyist like Wise whos only interest is to stuff their divisions with your hard earned TDSA money and donations. :(

Face it. You newbies and Ams are the middle class and backbone of this sport and it's about time for you all to get a bailout too. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

And thats where I come in my friends. As a current TDSA tournament director and lifetime member I have been to some of these meetings and I have seen some of the pork barrel resolutions passed. Most are legit but some stink of the classic goodol boy politics that has run our economy into the ground!!!!

For example..

$100 for a padded heated toilet seat for Dave Wise because he complained that he couldnt perform his Treasurer duties prior to the Am Worlds because Mitchell was kicking his butt at all the local minis back in the day. Now for the most part, everybody in his division is kicking his butt. :o

$5000 for a hot tub for Dave Wise because he complained that his back hurt and he couldnt promote the TDSA at a media event if he was slouching all the time. :p

$2000 down the drain to E-Harmony for Andrew because he said his Admin abilities were not up to par because he couldnt find anyone willing to mate with him.
(On a side note to that: $1000 of that $2000 was donated by Michael Treat in an effort to help get Andrew off the couch and out of the house.)

My friends, is this what you want from your DG club? Always rewarding Pro-street while Am-street has to sell plastic so it can scrape up $5 for a weeknight mini?

VOTE FOR ME!!!!.....A true Legend and the only true Maverick in this campaign!!!!

I have met with DG leaders in Arkansas and Oklahoma City therefore I have true foreign policy experience. On clear days,.....I can see Sapulpa from my mountain.

I have proven my leadership by running the evil Twoputt from this board and I will end the discussion wars within my first year in office. :)

And I will not be alone because I have chosen LilMoose to be my vice-advisor. Together we will get Mavericky with the TDSA and reach across the aisle and work for true policy change.

The purpose of a true grass roots organization is not to dump the roots on the Ams while the Pros smoke the grass.

The true purpose is to roll it all in one big stogie and pass it around so we all may partake!!!!

That is why I say vote for me. A great American Dog!!!! :)

My name is Furdog and I approve this message!!!!!

Ive put some effort into most all of Tulsas courses except for maybe Hunter & Sand Springs.

And before you go running negative ads on me let me ask you one thing. Do you have a Golden Shovel like I do????? :o

So what are you trying to say Blindsight? I dont show up for a work day and now Im not worthy of an admin position? :(

Based on your big boast of 20 years of youth I figured you could have done the work of 20 of me.

What can I do for the TDSA..........

Since I have joined the tdsa in November of 06 I have seen and learned about how this club operates.

I have an associates degree in marketing, I have used that in several differnt ways already to market the TDSA. Some examples are Riverside Glide 07, got some disc donations from Tom's for prize payouts. August 06,07, and 08 I have gotten donations from Tom's and Sunbelt Sports to donate for the annual CDB tournament for the prevention of Brain cancer. I have volunteered in events such as Am-Worlds 06 here in tulsa.

Recently I have hit the streets to try to get some assistance for any card carrying TDSA member. While it may not seem like alot, I think I have worked out a deal where if I were to get elected I now have the power to get 1 dollar off at Hobbytown on any disc purchase. I am currently trying to get the same type of deal at Academy and Tom's.

Just wanted some of our voters to realize how much I love this game and how much effort I have and will put forward to see this sport flourish. Occasionally I will even bring it up on Sports talk radio around our community. All of our canidates are good for the sport, but not all have the time it takes to promote disc golf that I do.

In closing, I would love to represent the TDSA and would consider it an honor.

Bryan D. Hinds

Okay here is my two cents worth for the upcoming election. First off, good luck to everybody that is running. From my chair, here is what I am looking for in a representative. Someone who may have actually had some private industry experience would be wonderful for me. I got involved with this sport to help promote it. I see lots of potential to really grow this sport and some opportunities to really bring it to the mainstream public. This is not cheap. Although probably 99 percent of all discgolfers do not see it as a business opportunity, I do. I would like to see pro purses elevated to the point that pro players can actually make a living playing the sport. I would like to bring in more sponsors of tournaments so that the only thing non-pros have to look forward to at tournaments is not just some more plastic. I don't want to step on anyone's toes or offend anyone but I think this is coming and I would like to be involved with the process. I have had private parties at my house in years past where I gave away trips to Las Vegas or golfing day trips to some of the local courses, etc. This is very doable in disc golf.

Maturity is very important in leadership. If someone takes exception to little issues and makes big issues out of them, that must be overcome to promote the sport. Not everyone will agree with everything all the time, it is a democracy. The future of the TDSA has so much potential and I hope to be able to help bring that about but, the admin's must now start thinking of disc golf more from a national perspective than just a local club. It is coming. That is not to say anything in play needs to change. I hope this post does not get received as getting on my soapbox. We are now in a time where media coverage of the sport is very possible, purse money can be significantly improved, player packs can be enhanced, it is an exciting time for disc golf. I have made a substantial investment in this sport myself and will continue to do so. Talk about team OCD, that is me in a nutshell. Recently I have been having some conversations regarding the business of disc golf with sponsors and reps of the PDGA, there is much need for a concerted and cooperative effort by members to help elevate this sport to a level of play that guys like Kevin McKoy, Joe Rotan, Kelly Watson, Wayne Forrest and others have persevered for years to attain. I am a late comer but sometimes it takes someone from the outside to renew our enthusiasm and re-charge our batteries. If this post makes no sense to you then that is fine. Without going into detail, those who have a mind for business should be able to identify with what I am saying. The TDSA is absolutely the best [censored] disc golf club in America today. Let's re-visit some of the old enthusiasts that are on the membership list and try to get them to re-embrace the sport. I would be willing to host a dinner at some indoor facility in tulsa if we can get a cooperative effort by enough people. I AM NOT RUNNING FOR OFFICE but, I will be writing in Dave Wise on my ballot. I like the way Dave handled the team event issue. When issues came up, he very diplomatically sought input and made very deliberate decisions that I think everyone agreed with. It may not be perfect but it is a very good start.

sschumacher
Oct 29 2008, 11:52 AM
I agree. Dave Wise should come back. He definitely has good business sense and a face (unlike mine) that can go on TV and promote the sport in a professional manner.

Maybe if we can get enough "write in's" for him he will reconsider. :)

bravo
Oct 29 2008, 11:52 AM
there is no doubt that the professional side of this sport needs attention as well as the new player or regular player conversions to organized play circomstances . the largest feild of support is the untapped players who already love the game and can bring their talents to the table of the admin board. i can see personalities from each of the canidates that can help this club, the most evident is their willingness to run for a volunteer position in their local club.

Dude, the dog got passed over last year on the election but he kept on "dogging" the board meetings and contributing to the club so he has shown staying power and will make a fine addition to the board.
From the looks of the hill there will be a lot of changes to consider in the comming months before the Chandler stock of 09. we may have our hands full getting it all done but I am sure that we can do it.

those results were copied from the Tulsa World check out the Sports section of the newspaper
.
having them printed onto a chat-board somewhere is okay , also but :
.
.
getting them in media-print , in the newspaper (which is also online on the web) ; now thats heavy-duty good recognition and enhanced credibility just a lil habit and routine we need to get-back-into imo
