I love the shoe's just dont like that they wear so fast. I have had the Distance High's and then i got the ones that Kenny wear's next. They are a low top black and brown shoe. They are not discgolf specific, but have the same sole on them that and distance series have. They are very comfortable, but just seem to wear too fast for me. Both the sole and the tops have worn very fast, as well as the insole on both pair seemed to almost fall apart. Like i said, i love the shoe, very comfortable and very good traction.
I'll stick with my Merrell and Keen's from now on.

I've had 2 pairs and they are straight out the box comfortable but they do wear out in a little over a year. At least mine did because I wore them everyday at work, home, as well as playing golf in them. I am real picky about shoes and used to buy the Asolo GTX, but they took about 5 months to wear IN and cost around $150.

I've been wearing the newest Distance High, and the Torque DG. Working great for me. I really like the Torque because I can wear them everyday casual and when I go out to the park to play during work breaks they are more supportive than my sandals. Pretty cool shoes, and very comfortable.
The new DH I have required no breaking ... ready to go out of the box.

I would rate them a notch below Merrell/Saloman, but still much better than most other department store brands.
I've never heard Kenny complain, but he only wears Bites in the spotlight...otherwise he wears Nike cross trainers.

Do not buy them if you are expecting them to be waterproof. They are not. Also, the Vibram soles wear quickly (for me). My Merrell Chameleon Wrap Mid Goretex also have Vibram soles. Same wear issue, but they are sweet if you have the extra $ (and 100% waterproof up to the ankle).

I love the Chameleon line. My only complaint is that Vibram soles themselves are the only part of the shore I wear out. Right now I'm wearing chameleon ISOs and they look brand new but I have wore all the Vibram right off the soles.
Is Vibram really the best there is? I can't believe that they cannot make more durable polymer.

I think they are going for performance over durability. Sort of like NASCAR tires are not very durable, but very sticky.
Speaking of tires, why not make soles out of regular tire rubber. 60,000 car miles should put much more of a beating on the rubber than 2 yrs of disc golf, right?

i asked if they were still making not selling... selling them @ 50% to me could mean that they aren't making them anymore and are selling them out (or hopefully just discounting the older models because newer ones will be out)

I heard second hand from Climo that the Distance was being discontinued. Bite is still sponsering disc golf and their line of hikers/golf shoes are just as good if not better than the Distance for DG.
