I talked to my mom yesterday and she was bithing about $3.25 gas in Tulsa......I laughed because if we can find gas here in the South your lucky and expect to pay from $3.99 to $4.49/gallon OUCH!!!

It probably would have been cheaper for me to fly from Atlanta and I'm only 5 hr's away.

Mike I forgot to tell you this, Once you get past Memphis don't wait until your gas is out to start looking for gas here in the south, stop when you are at a 1/4 tank because there are many gas stations still in the south without gas.

My guess for Devan's rounds 76 66 62 71 = 275 (<--- which is usually a paycheck)

I know he has a couple of good rounds in him but it's hard for a 1st timer to do all that well....Although I did get 10th my 1st year so maybe he will prove me wrong.

KMACK call us when you get in... we all need to get together and get a round and some pictures in... TwoPutt the course looks awesome as usual. JP has had some nice lines mowed in the grass... no real big changes to the OB's etc. The rain today and last night should help define the mow lines of the course and green it up even more. No pro shop set up... but being most of the clothes came from OKLAHOMA this year, they are sittin saucey! The KICKER PA system shut down the innova ofice!!! Can you say LIVING LOUD! The course is VERY lefty friendly but I'm not so sure about the DUDE top 10, it would be cool but this is the best of the best and I'm not sure he is top 10 tier quite yet (but what do I know I have been gone for 9 months) I'm sticking with my earlier prediction for the DUDE.

yeah I'm pretty sure I could take anyone at the USDGC in ball golf right about now (climo would give me a good match) Tuesday I Won my 2nd consecutive week at my scramble since I been bumped up to the A golfer.....I'm still going to make a run at qualifying for next years US Amateur at Southern Hills. Two chances to qualify here in GA next May.... and it's only $100 to try to qualify, would have to shave about 5-7 strokes better than I have been playing but who knows I may have one incredible day and qualify.

Oh and thanks to Thong Le's driver I am a freak show at the scramble tourney's, Eagled the 585 yard par 5 two weeks ago, they said it hasn't been 3'd in 5 years, and I had a 5 foot tap in....If it wasn't for Thong trading me that driver I wouldn't be playing.

So, what I think..
Of those cats mentioned, the ones that have the best chance to do some significant damage would be:
- The best ones (of course) and they would have to play LIGHTS OUT -- Shawn Merriman.
- And I'm sure playing the tournament in previous years helps your chances of doing somewhat well.

Alright, I have a big story!!!!!!

I stepped up to hole #1 at Winthrop today, threw my Green Country Doubles San Marino Roc and aced that sucker!!!

Man it felt great...

Everyone is here safe and sound. The course looks great and I am going to watch the Doubles action tomorrow..

How did you do on the course overall?

We met Kevin Joe and Keldog round hold 11 and played from there.

The Dude was tired after my ace so I didn't actually finish the round.

Overall I had a few bogeys but not too shabby..

This course is long and tight.Hole 18 is tighter than last year, according to the experts..

I will get in a full official round later today or I am just going to pay the $50 to qualify, just for fun..

Great event.. Headed to watch doubles now..

I got hooked up with big Avery and we took on teams of McCabe and Schultz and Michael "King of the Hornet's Nest Johansen & Schweby.....We played WORST SHOT at the Hornets Nest YYIKES! But we prevailed for the win....It will be a good DVD cuz there was some great shots and some good sht talkin.

I dropped the Dude off this morning for his 7:44 tee time..

He shot great and the early round probably helped him..

Johnny and I played a round this afternoon. We started at 5:00 and finished by 7:00..

We are both getting better with each round and Johnny is playing some solid golf.

There are birdies and pars to be had but the hard holes can be devastating..

Great course and tournament. Everything is first class with a TON of volunteers..

I followed Climo today which was great. He played very solid conservative golf. Not much of a gallery. Feldberg was the card ahead so where there was a back up I watched him as well..

Everyone should make it out here if possible.

Throwing off hole 3 is one of the funnest things I have ever done... Johnny and I threw several tonight.

The hole is 395 feet downhill. I have overthrown it both times I birdied it..

super proud of the DUDE today....I took him to school hard about the course the 1st few days and he paid attention and shot awesome!!!

We didn't have a bet today but I'll be buyin him some dinner tonight.

My round was SUPER disappointing, it's the worst score I have had all week so hopefully it's my worst round. But when you get a pic like this can it be so bad...I was welling up like a baby when I got it as a text message.

The carolinas require a completely different set of plastic then the OK/TX. I had to switch my entire bag around. In OK/TX I had mostly drivers and 2-3 mid range discs. Out here, I ve got 5-7 mid-range/putters and 3-4 drivers. And yes, I've got a shark in it and a meteor.

Off to FL...

Wow!!! What another great experience on Winthrop Gold... Man the course kicked my butt the last round, seemed like the ropes climbed over my disc a few times... Sucks to finally put yourself in contention and not be able to take control of the situation... NEXT YEAR!! Thanks to Mr. Crowl for being an awesome caddy!! Good job okies(jared-devon-Kev) But on a positive note the holes that normally kick my butt I Dominated- hole #17 2 2 3 2= -3 thank god Hole #6 2 2 2 3= -3 I only went in the water once during play!! Thanks everyone for watching and being supportive

You did good. Not sure if it was the level of competition or the new "friendy ob" rules but the scores looked better this year. You shot 3 strokes better than last year and finished three spots worse.

Highlights of my trip to South Carolina.
-Had the pleasure to caddy for one of the best disc golfers in the world. 'THE HATFIELD'
-Caddied for 3 different people in 4 days, Wednesday 2 full rounds.
-Got to room with some super fun guys.
-Got to hang out with Pennington and Hicks.
-Got hooked up by my Twisted homies.
-Aced hole #1 at Winthrop gold on my second try at qualifying.
-Found out that some people are just dramatic about anything. (Opie's hero)
-Bought and almost lost some spectator rocs. (thanks to hicks)
-Traveled 36 hours total and only had to actually drive 4 of them. (thanks to randal)
-Learned alot about disc golf and what it really takes to play on the big stage.
-Learned that I need to get better if I am going to try and play at the USDGC next year.

*All in all, I had a great trip. Spent lots of money, but was able to spend some quality time with some quality folks playing one of the greatest courses in the world.

You may ask, "Was it worth it?"
The answer, "MOST DEFINITELY!"

i heard (i dont know how i heard...) but i heard that if this certain person in question would miss a shot or catch a bad break, he would always turn around and look for someone to sympathize with about how he got screwed or something. ultra drama all the time.

The Dude is a lot better golfer and has grown up a little more since I have been gone. I'm glad the Dude stayed in the cash, it would have been a shame for him to play so well and not get anything to show for it.

I hope he maintains the progression he is on, I stuck my neck out there for him and got him hooked up on the INNOVA Scout team so if you guys see him screwing up please feel free to kick him in the butt for me. :D

Feldberg was talking to Matt Orums' caddy Eric Tracy and knowing that he is in his twenties Feldberg asked Eric "How old are you now about 38?!!!" Eric did look a lil ruff. Eric laughs and replys no Felberg says seriously thirty something at least and Eric replys that he is 27 and he has alot of golf in him and for Felberg to Go F hisself. Hillarious!!! :D:o:cool:
So Felberg processes what just happend and was looking like a franctic little dog not knowing what to do or say. So he gives Matt O a warning for his caddy. Feldberg then tees off shanking his drive right into the trees on the right of hole 4 and it kicks him perfectly into the middle of the fairway for a set up for birdie. He still freaks out and is whinning about what happenend even though he instagated the whole thing. Goes up to his drive and throws it right OB :oloved it I must say. He turns around and yells that he is going to kill eric, it procedded for a few more holes but I tried to just stay away from him! /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
