The current moderators are listed at the bottom of every page on the PDGA DISCussion Board and consist of Larry "Ching Lizard" Kruse, myself, and Frederick Doot, although we have not been able to get in contact with the latter in several weeks.
Since the resignation of Communications Director Peter Shive from the PDGA Board of Directors, Executive Director Brian Graham is taking all message board appeals.

personally i dont think someone who allegedly owes money to many people in the disc golf community should be in a position of any authority on this message board, especially when this message board has been used as a medium to obtain some of the money in question

BINGO - I got all sorts of PM's from him after stiffing me when I used this board to warn other friends of mine to NOT deal with him under any circumstances.
All it got me was probation for calling oil speculators a bad name ([censored]) because Doot sought to seek out revenge.
Please get a new Moderator who has the ability to separate personal feelings from his work.
I'm willing to do it if no one else wants it as I'm on here all the time anyways. :D

I agree. Very good point about the fact that he used the board he moderates to get the money.

Y'all should be very careful with these accusations, as they might be groundless. I highly doubt that one of them happened as Keith thinks.
There were four moderators at the time, and a process of appeal. I don't remember the specific example of Keith's probation for oil company opinions ( I think it was the language, not the opinion), but I highly doubt that Doot sought out the post and then moderated it. Actually, I highly doubt he had anything to do with moderating that post at all. I sure as hell know that he had nothing to do with any appeal, if there was one, as that would have been handled by Peter.
So, while it may have been a questionable or debatable call, it wasn't some atttempt at payback or extortion done by Doot through his moderator powers. That is for sure.
Carry on.

I'm not claiming anything wrong with Doot as a mod b/c I have no evidence of this, I just don't feel he should moderate a board when he used that same board to take money from people.

You are correct that I was on probation for calling oil speculators a name.(An amazing article on Sept 11th in USA Today said EXACTLY what I said, only it was Congress saying it, so it's a good thing no congressional people are PDGA members.)
You are also correct that Shive denied my appeal (without explaining by the way when asked)
You are WRONG that Doot did not rip off me, at least 1 friend of mine, and probably others who post on this board.
Whether he "sought out" (which I doubt because I don't usually post things that can be moderated) or whether someone who LOVES oil speculators or is one reported me is inconsequential as DOOT was on the team that decided.
Just stick to arguing with Chuck and others and leave my facts alone. :D

Fair enough, I really don't understand what that accusation is about, I was merely trying to set the record straight on Keith's accusation. Keith might suspect that is how it happened, and he might have good reasons for that suspicion, I don't know that part; but it did not happen the way he described.
Sorry, I should have responded to Keith's post instead of yours.

wasnt there a new person installed at hte first meeting of the new BoD? its not good to have Graham doing both levels of appeal. its been hard enuf to get a fair (or ANY) hearing in the past. we ought to get in front of this so that those problems do not crop up again.

I didn't say that Doot didn't rip you off, I just said that he didn't exact revenge through the moderating process. Two totally separate things.
As to him being guilty by association, that is ridiculous. moderators are different as day and night with their opinions; it is hardly group think. Even when a moderator feels that another moderator is wrong, they are powerless, as the system is rightly set up to hear appeals by an accountable person. In this case, Peter.

I think it's time to update THE LIST. Please don't tell me that everyone has behaved themselves for an entire month!
Incidentally, the very image i was probed for was used by a few other folks (with no wrist slapping punishment), one of them only 7 posts later than mine. Pretty consistent probing and monitoring if you ask me. Pffft!

I think I'm gonna break the rules soon. I like being on double secret MB probation. It's like a MB trophy.
