Motel 6 is still showing 59.00 rates for two people and the Grand Vista hotel is showing 69.00 rates.. Not way cheap, but not bad for this time of year

Thanks buddy. First round has 30-40 mph sustained winds...and all 20 had OB's lining every fairway. Tough course! Must hit event next year if they host it at the same place...then again, it's just a must hit event. A-Tier, good payout, always top quality!!

Sweet! I sucked at hole 1! Still a good hole though. Imagine playing that in 45 mph winds!

i heard it was so bad they actually called the 2nd round off bc of 'wind'?! that has to be a first time!

yes they called it, but it was more for safety concerns with the cottonwoods falling on someone, a big branch did come down during the first round and that was enough.

Stack, two big limbs feel 'on' the group in front of us. They heard a big CRACK and scattered...it pretty much fell where they were. Later on (rumor has it) an entire tree fell, but I never saw it?? Maybe it was cleaned up before round 2. So yeah, concern for players' safety, plus OB on all 20 holes with 45mph winds and a forecast for worse winds and 60% chance of rain...they moved the second round to Sunday where it was in the 50's and sunny (and maybe a 3mph breeze that first round...)
[censored] some people off so they just left and never came back, but it just sucks for them...only added a couple hours to their Sunday, but they just whined and bolted instead. Their loss.

I really liked what Dave said about this during the awards ceremony.
