There are several people around here that use the X-challenger...they've all been slowly stocking up on the ones I have left here at the store. They have compared them to crystal(more overstable) and flx(close to the same) for me, but not D.

The X Challenger doesn't break in as fast as the Ds (which kinda goes without saying for all X vs D plastic), and the X is a lot slicker (again this is the norm). The X has always felt like its larger in diameter and has a deeper rim, even though the specs are the same. I guess it just maintains it shape better than the Ds? I putted with the Xs for a couple of weeks, but the slickness, and less versitilty for turnover putts led me to just stick with the D Challenger. The X does make a good approach putter and putter drive off the tee, but the stiffer Cam Todd Challenger is what fills this slot in my bag.

My biggest problem with the ProD plastic is the fact that the flight plate does deform over time! I hope this will not be a problem with the x! As far as putting they fly the same as the D but I have not compared them when driving with them! I have compared them to the crystal and still dont like the slick feel of the crystal!

The elite X's are discontinued anyway....so it's probably a good thing.

You should really try a Cam Todd. I used to putt with the Pro-D and then moved to the X. The X worked out great until one day at the park a guy let me try his Cam Todd Challenger and that was it. I have never looked back since. To be they are just like the Pro-D but they hold up a lot better. Plus with the added stiffness I have began to use mine a lot more off the Tee.

Wow, that was quick. Did you not like the slick feel? Get some good old Texas dirt and give them a good rub down if that's the case.

I liked them fine for putting but off the tee they where no where close to a Pro D. I had putted with them for a while and liked them but when it came to up shots and tee shots they where more stable and less glide for sure!!!
