Well, yes you can. You CAN dye DX and DX-like plastic Dorothy. You're not in Kansas anymore.

Must have thought or said a thousand times, as if I knew what I was talking about, "You can't dye DX plastic. The dye can't get in.

Ritt dye can't. Washes off after 48 hours with, at best, a faint stain. Some colors, as always, work better than others.

Then David McCormack of Gateway told us about this super-secret dye that sinks into everything. We've become more powerful, kind of like early man learning to milk a cow.

(Shhhhhhh....the moderators are lurking everywhere, listening. I'd attack them personally but they don't have names.)

Anyway, DX plastic takes the super-secret dye. It's not cutting open Sharpies, either. It's like someone else cut open about a 100 sharpies and squeezed the juice into these little bottles.

How do you spell breakthrough? It doesn't matter if you already knew and everybody else already knew. We didn't know. You CAN dye DX plastic. It's as if there are no obstacles anymore.

Surely, a woman figured out how to milk the first cow.

Does anyone buy, throw or collect DX plastic?

no but more players should throw matted S/DX/D style plastic for mid-range and putters.
most top layers use this stype of plastic because of grip quality during in climate weather and some just like the way it feels when fan gripping for control shots!!
