How does the club decide who was on teams or is it a same team each year. Just wondering?

i was wondering the same thing... yall should have a poker style satellite. everybody interested pitches in a $15-20 buy-in. offer each division and payout is entry into texas teams. i wonder how many would show up for that?
or just use the club championships winners?!

Team members are chosen based on who gives us the best chance to win and who has contacted me saying they are interested. Want to play? PM me. The established roster is set with most of the same players as last year. Roster will be up shortly. We can field an additional team too! :D

Let me add some clarity ... it wasn't a club thing last year since there wasn't a club ... I just stepped up and captained (is that even a word) the team. This year I extended invitations to the team members from last year that have been actively playing at McClain. I had to fill a couple of vacant spots but for the most part the same team is in tact. Also we've got room for more than one team so if anyone is interested in playing email me at ScottHougland@hotmail.com and I'll get you setup. The cost to play is $50 per person and it is a blast!!! Even if you don't want to play but just want to camp and party in Wimberly, email me and we can coordinate that too.

Also, don't forget we have Nani Falcone Park that we could possibly field a Team for the Merged Division. Anyone interested in trying to Captain a Team Nani? I won't be able to make it to Texas Teams this year but I do wish luck to all San Antonio Teams that do participate.
Team McClain for Life!!! :D:D

I think we should definately try to get an emerging team in from Nani. So far a few people have already expressed interest .. if you are willing to play advanced or intermediate give me a shout.

Jeff Gobin for Nani Team Captain? :oI have one of your lost discs that someone turned into me. It's great to see you joined the PDGA. Did you get the $10.00 discount for being a SADC Member? ;)
I played Wimberley this past Tuesday and they are pretty sure they will fill up and have to turn teams away. As soon as teams set their rosters, the team captains should register the Teams ASAP or risk not getting in.

I talked with One Shot & Ray and they are on the fence about coming up Friday night or Saturday morning ... that usually means Saturday morning. I am more than likely going up Friday night unless it is going to be really cold.

Texas Teams was this past weekend and Team McClain once again represted SA well. The team made it all the way to the quarter finals and lost by 1 point to Round Rock. Overall record for the team was 4-1-1 and we had several outstanding contributors. Team MVP was Ray Pereida who went 5-1 and hit several key putts in the mix master round. I want to personally thanks all the team members (One Shot, Stacey, Tracey, Houston, Hansen, Ray, Phil, and Shawn), Team Live Oak who we camped with, and everyone at Wimberly. This was a great event. Next year SADC will be back, hopefully with 2 teams!
