Just saw Clash II - Winthrop and have to agree with what others have said... good stuff and like Renny Clash leaves me wanting MORE!

i have no clue and honestly could care less really. this is one tourney where I don't really care about a player's pack (unless there is a tourney stamp disc or something and it'd be nice to get it or get enough merch to buy it).

Even though I live here and get to play Renny/Ho's Nest all the time and Winthrop w/ the ropes from time to time, I see my entry as green fees for the awesome courses we'll be playing on!

There are a few clash videos that have been shot. One was done here in KC at WaterWorks around the time of the Wide Open.

Was wondering if anyone has the Renny DVD they'd be willing to part with for $10 shipped. I lost mine and miss it badly!!! Let me know!

as far as the $5 thing (i guess you're talking about shipping)... last time I bought a DVD from zonedriven shipping was around $7.

what's with the audio issues on this dvd?

I got one of the signed copies which is good and bad. It's bad because Barry signed on the wrapper, so now I don't know if I should open it or not. I want to watch the dang thing though. Haha.

from Billy....between the wind and the low vocals, we had a few spots where there could be nothing else done to enhance the sound.

I enjoyed this just as much as the other Clash.

Funny story: I started watching the video and was wondering why the entire thing was in black/white. I didn't notice anyone talking about black/white on the boards here. So I watched the whole thing. When I stopped it I noticed my screen was also in black/white. "This isn't right?" Ended up figuring out I had my plugs in wrong on the dvd player so I had to watch it all over in color. I must say, the black/white version did make it seem a little more dramatic.

One thing I would like to continue to see more of, if possible, is learning more about what discs players are throwing and perhaps the strategies they are using. The series seems to be very intimate. Billy is able to talk to the players as they walk to their lies. This video did give some insight on the discs being thrown and some "strategies" that the players we using. Keep up the continued success!

Since these videos are going to be an ongoing thing, i do have one suggestion. Do voice overs after the fact and redub the video. Half the time all you here is a woosh sound and Billy soud like his voice is 2 octaves lower

i think its all together in a playlist but if not the order should be Hornets Nest, Renny, Winthrop (from the order the Pro's played dubs)

lots of good stuff on there from dubs... amazing amount of coverage and could probably be a DVD on its own.

I also have to agree that one of my favorite things about the Clash videos is the interaction w/ the players and almost feeling like you are there with them. Have heard they will have even more of it in the upcoming clashes (including showing some of the banter/messing around between the guys)

Is it just me or did the overall quality of video, and graphics of holes, etc. during the video seem worse than Renny? Not a knock on the Clash series, because Renny was AWESOME, just a comment that this one seemed like a step downward.

I also didn't enjoy it as much, but that was the result of it being such an open course. I think that Clash at Renny came out a lot better as a result of the type of course used. With wooded fairways, cameras could be set up at logical landing zones and get better shots, with Winthrop there's a very (compared to narrow wooded fairways) large variety in shot lines and landing areas.

I hear there's a Clash at Idlewild thats been filmed. Is this true? If so I can only imagine it'll have some FANTASTIC footage.

If anyone has Public or Community Access in town (or an Educational channel, that's where the show plays in Charlotte) let me know and I'll hook you up with free broadcast dvds. Raleigh, NC, Seattle WA, Portland, OR and Tucson, AZ are some stations that come to mind where the show would play if a local volunteer got involved...

And if anyone has a favorite portion of the Doubles footage to recommend, let me know. Haven't had much time to watch the coverage.
