Super D here telling you that its that time again for the modified annual Twin Parks Sleeper C/XC Tier tournament. This event is benefitting the Special Olympics Texas.
This year we are working off a different format so please read carefully.
The Sleeper will be two rounds starting on the Hill and ending on the shire. Here's the twist...this year all the sanctioned players will be allowed to get one rating on this tournament because we will end right at dusk, therefore making it a C tier sanctioned event. After that we will put on our glows and have a glow round. What this means is that all sanctioned players will have one rated round and one non-rated round due to the XC regulations.
Format:
First round will be played from the white tees on the Hill for the OPEN players only. If you play any other division, you will be playing the reds. This goes for the Masters, Grandmasters, and Ledgends even though you get paid cash like the open players do.
Second round will be played from the red tees on the Shire for all divisions. Catering will be offered, most likely BBQ, and it will be available after the first round. By this time everyone would of had time to eat and recoop for the sleeper round.
The entry fees are as followed:
Open:$45
Adv: $40
Int: $35
Rec: $30
(All players will reveive two lcd lights with their entry)
The deductions for the entries are as followed:
$2- PDGA sanctioning fee
$5- TPCC Fee
$5- Catering Fee
$3- Special Olympics Texas Fee
(Vegas Style Ace Pot will be in effect so start rubbing the Budda's belly for good luck)
The Cap on this tournament is 80 players so please get in your registrations at your earliest convienence by visiting the discnation website or contacting Twin Parks Country Club
All other prizes and contests will be announced later this month.
thank you for your continued support in the nations's best disc golf capitol of the world!

Is drinking legal during the second round since it's a non-sanctioned round? Nightglow just wouldn't seem the same without a few beers or whiskey!

That is a good question but considering its a sanctioned event, it may be frowned upon. I will check witht he PDGA

Cool, just curious....We've got a few guys that are trying to decide between this one and the Lewisville event on the same weekend....The upside to this one is...we can stop by Fredricksburg on the way down there :) :) and it's not 5 hours away helps.

Prize for the brightest glowing golfer, most creative golfer, and the worst round golfer.
The first two winners will be decided by the audience but the worst round golfer is done by score only.
Donated by Super D himself!

Well everyone, the nights are getting darker and that means that the Sleeper is creeping closer to its tee offs. Hey, we will be haveing tee times for the first round to allow those that wanted a rating a chance to play one in the day time and the rest can start in the day then strap those glows on for a warmup round of glow golf.
Please sign up now by calling Twin Parks, Daniel "Super D" Temple or go online at DiscNation. Please hurry becase we only have 55 positions available. I will be updating the players list later on today.

Anyone coming over with glow stuff? There isn't going to be a moon in sight I tell ya. Its gonna be dark and if its cloudy it will be pitch dark.
Good part about that is that we are only going to play to midnight. By then the lights will be dead because less sun during the day equals less solar light time expected

Hey mo fo's,
We are having a work day tomorrow to get the course into shape for the Sleeper. If anyone wants to help out just come on over and we'll put you to work. We are making the Shire extra special for the tourney so everyone can get some clear shots at the baskets.
If you can't make it then the least you can do is sign up for this badass tourney.
Hey Ace,
you should bring Soete and the bunch to Austin. We'll take care of ya I promise.

The Sleeper is an official stop on the "Shut Up and Throw Tour". This means
that there will be a prize package donated by Disc Player Sports to be
awarded at this event. The rules are simple. The TD (Daniel) must pick a
player and award him/her this prize package. This prize should not go to
the 1st place finisher, rather it is to be awarded to someone who does
something special, or extraordinary. The TD must select this person. Maybe
it's the person who had the most fun, maybe the person who went out of his
way to help another golfer. Maybe it's someone who is playing in their
first tournament. You get the idea...

I am no longer affiliated with TPCC anymore. Kamron has treated me wrong every tournament day because things have been mixed up. I have taken her stuff for the last time and I am giving up. I have also given up on TPCC. I can not be affiliated with people that treat others like junk because I am worth more than that.
Kamron yells, curses, and screams at me the moment I walked in the door this afternoon to begin helping with the sleeper. I have been trying to get signup lists and flyers from her for two weeks and have received nothing until this Thursday. I have always been the one calling and emailing and have not seen one response until three or more calls or emails were sent She is not good to work with and to be friends with because no friend treats another friend the way she has treated me.
After all the work days, all the help I gave when Corey left and the years he was there,(and I have always worked for FREE) I am no longer helping TPCC because they treat the ones that help them the most like junk and I have swallowed the last pill that they have given me.
