Hmmm might have to make this one....theres a good chance RADL Will be having the RADL club championships that weekend, so not sure if it will be worth traveling with a tournament 2 miles from my house.

Either way, way to step up Tyson!!!!

Played this course for the first time the other day. What a beautiful course set in a nice park. Nice elevation and lots of different shots to throw. Only hole I have a problem with is 15, there is no line to get a 2 on this par 3.

We are putting a hyzer route on 15, talked to Russell (from Innova) today and he is coming up to take care of a few issues before the tournament. Good times, hope to have a good Charlotte contingency, as well as the rest of NC for that matter.

The Carolina Disc Golf Club and the Carrboro Parks Project are hosting a Fundraising tournament to install Carrboro's first disc golf course at Anderson Park! The Tournament will be Sunday Nov 2nd, at the UNC Disc Golf Course (hole #1 top parking lot) starting at 8 AM. The entry fee will be $30 which includes lunch and players package disc. The first 25 people pre-registered will have the rights to claim a Champion Boss in their players pack! The tourney fliers is available at the website below, please print and post!

To register online, go to the UNC disc golf club website (the paypal button is at the bottom of the page) at:

http://cf.unc.edu/discgolf/

http://www.unc.edu/discgolf

We are also seeking Hole sponsors and donations ($, CTP, prizes, volunteers, etc.) for the tournament as well as permanent course and hole sponsors for the disc golf course. The Carrboro Parks Project is a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax deductible. We have already secured a primary donor who is donating half of the money required to install the course. Zach Ward, owner of DSI Comedy Theatre in Carrboro, is challenging the public to match his donation. Please see the attached Public Service Announcement for more details on this challenge grant. To donate online:

We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity either as a Fundraiser tournament player/ sponsor, Anderson Park Disc Golf Course sponsor, or both! Please contact me for more information, and once again, thank you for supporting Carolina Disc Golf!

Hey Rocky,
Lake Reidsville is 25 mins. north of Gboro.

From Sanford take 421 into Greensboro, stop at Biscuitville (get you a breakfast platter), then take a right onto 29north, go up 29 north till you out of Greensboro (this is the majority of the 25 mins.) and take Business 29 just before Reidsville, go 3 miles turn left at Citgo and park is on the left.

Probably bout an hour and half from Sanford.

We have Adv. GM and Rec, but both at 1 day events on Sat. If Dawn wants to play Adv. Women (a 2 day event), you can play intermediate (which is a 2 day event). I hear you a pretty good INTERMEDIATE player! Otherwise I can put Dawn in the one day intermediate women field.

Thanks Charlie, I would say it is very demanding. We will be out there this weekend as well doing some final things, and building a few benches.

If you have stools, bring em!

BTW...We had more activity at the course last weekend then we have ever seen, I counted 65 people at the course on Saturday and Sunday alone last weekend. Thank you to everyone whose has taken interest in the course, I know we had them here from Hickory to Elkin to Durham, last weekend!

If you are planning on coming to the event, please try to let us know. Registration will have to end no later than 9am the day of the tournament, and there will be a mandatory players meeting (at 9:30am) with a sharp tee time set for 10am. Please try and preregister and if you dont do that, I will be out there at 6am the day of the tourney, so get there early. The park opens it gates around 3am for duck season. I cannot be more clear about the fact that everyone needs to be registered by 9am, so we can start on time.

We will also have food available for purchase the 1st day of the event (and hopefully something special for the 2nd day), and encourage everyone to pack a lunch or buy from the food vendor (probably a local Subway). We are doing to be able to have a 45min. lunch max to make sure we can get through both rounds on this demanding course.

Not full as of right now, we are at 65. I would not consider the course cart friendly as there is a bunch of elevation change.
