Great tourney; I don't think these guys want to play a final nine after 3 days of playing. I also think that you have to either commit to the final 9 before the tourney starts or not have it at all. I played in a tourney one time where they kept getting wishy-washy deciding about having it and then not and then having it and then not and then we had it after all. I think they decided to have it so their home boy had another shot to win it since they were losing after the 4 rounds. It was a railroad job if you ask me.
I just think that controversy needs to be put to bed early. My $.02

I'm excited to finally be eligible to play in this event!
Like lvdgc, I would love to be able to signup for this event online. Is that going to happen?
I also agree with Pterodactyl. The decision about whether or not to have a Final 9 should happen well before the event begins.

Steve, You know they have these paper things that you write numbers on and sign, and for 42 cents you are in the tournament just the same. :D
Look forward to seeing you again, it's been way too long!

40_MoLD, the online registration link isn't active right now. I was trying to figure out if and when that was going to change.

Suzette - 2 things.
1) I will have to work on 9/11 from 10 am to 5 pm and will NOT be able to check in until 9/12. I hope that's okay.
2) Since we don't have 4 (and some even 3) women for each division, will those divisions be eliminated all together? Or how will that work?

Michelle -
Tim Selinske would be the proper person to answer your questions. However, I will say that it should be OK to check in on Friday. Just give Tim a call or email early in the week and let him know your plans.
Tim usually allows divisions with less than four players. If the PDGA requires otherwise for a Major, you would be notified before the event.

Last year there were 85 entrants to this Championship event.
I see only 43 signed up so far, where are the champions at?
I know there are a lot of great players from back East that could be playing this fine event. I believe last years winner took home $1,800, nice. If you havent played La Mirada in the Par 66 layout than its time to do it, dont be scared!

Does any one know if you can check in on Friday? I find myself unexpectedly working in Sad Diego today and getting back up to La Mirada before 5:00 is going to be iffy. I tried calling the contact # for Tim Selinske but it turns out to be INNOVAs #.

Well, my first left-handed round is in the books. Painful, indeed. One birdie, Eleven O.B.s and a 14 on one hole with 5 OBs. Other than that it was delightful. One OB was sick, i threw one out the park, 300' + feet and skipped off someones roof of their house and kept going.
Hey Brock whats up? Missed you this weekend. My finger is slowly healing, the break part is good but the ligament will take another couple months for sure. Hollah whenever you come around SoCal so we can shoot a round or drink maple syrup :D
