Corey Diab and myself will now be forming a new club... in name only. Our charter is simple. Create more members for PFDS, support PFDS events, raise more money and awareness of the sport through sponsorship and press releases.

We are going to have a Beaver County club. We need to come up with a kick butt logo and name. Our home course is most likely going to be like going to disc golf heaven and as soon as it is playable we will be attempting to start a league night event.

We are unbelievably grateful and excited about this surprise opportunity to extend our hospitality to other club members and hopefully grow the sport in our area. I've got some great ideas of how to get this ball rolling.

Any suggestions for us? I would like to kick this around so that as we grow this thing correct and address any perks or concerns we might be overlooking.

Glass mini's are most likely going to be a prize for a member of this club.

I also have this idea to make a pro-wrestling style belt for the Beaver County Champ who will have to pass it along to the next champ if they cannot defend it. Similar concept as the can-am cup , but I think the humor behind it is worth a little effort on my part to make it happen.

So when we ring the bell, come out swinging. I can't wait to get on top of this and make it the best it can be.

My sincere thanks to my main man J Gary for just making it happen for us. You're the bomb.

Do you need a seperate club for this?? Couldn't you just get the PFDS to be the club for beaver?? Just a thought.

Pretty much that is the game. That's exactly what we are doing. Members of our club are going to be PFDS... basically it's just another faction and a way to generate disc golf awareness in our area. Plus, my inclination is we can court more sponsorship close to our home course with the Beaver county name... rather than Pittsburgh which will make the cake eaters think twice before opening their wallets.

You're right Chris. But you can't be a member... trustafarians need not apply.

Just kidding Chrissy, you can be a member but you got to pay extra.

I just talked to the guy at Economy Park. Thursday night doubles is quite alright with him. He's thinking we should have a league thing there to get more players because he doesn't see it getting used as much as he would like.

So... Thursday night 6pm starting next week. Same $5 entry but the first nine is solo. Lowest score pairs with highest for the second nine of doubles. And I am allowed to park at the bottom of nine to drive people back up the hill to start the second round. Of course an ace pot is in order.

If anyone's down... this might be a way to get a few new players that I see out there trying to learn on their own and asking us questions. I got a flyer I'm gonna drop off down there at the park and a couple of places in Ambridge.

Really... no one has any super awesome ideas for the name of the Beaver County chapter. Jerry and I had some real good ones on Tuesday, but I think they were a little too much for the kind of message we would like to send.

He would see more people use it if you didn't have to walk a mile back to your car after 9 holes. Tell him we want a complete redesign with 18 holes!!
