first, dont mock J because he cant spell Yinz. He's not exactly a Pittsburgher so to say....
anywho, I personally would like to see some Yinzer support for this. I feel the Lodge is forgotten alot of the time and this is our oppurtunity to support our friends from the other end of the 724. Fun course, noble idea. Let's help to make this catch on.

Even though I'll be at Moraine Sunday morning i'm definitly backing J Thompson with this idea.

I'll be there. It would be neat to see some unfamiliar faces!

It's going to be hard to pull the locals away from the Moraine Monthly that day. If you can plan these monthlies on days when the pFDS isn't running events, you might get some of us to come.

This isn't going to be a monthly event. It will be similar to the Sunday Devotional. Every Sunday from now til the winter when the baskets are removed.
There might be some days IDLA's Sunday bag tag will interfere with PFDS monthlies but it won't happen often. Regardless, If this does happen you will definitely continue to see the Poole's at PFDS monthlies. Telling Alanna that we are going to stay in Indiana to play the Lodge instead of driving to Moraine or Deers Lake is like telling her to make me a sandwich. :D It just won't happen.

I can't believe I put an s on the end of yinz. This is a typing mistake and should not be reflected upon my yinzer attitude. I carried the yinzer population in Filthadelphia for 5+ years. Not an easy task.
Also, Kurt, once winter hits, I plan on playing variations of Getty, and introducing my home course in the Run:
a 12 hole custom pole hole designed, 24 tees, par 72. ALCOHOL PERMITTED.

ALCOHOL PERMITTED.
That's that best thing you could have said. :D

1. Eric Bonerazza
2. J "My dog is WAY cooler than your dog" Thompson
3. Roque - the Indiana Gazette Master
4. STTTTTEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAA

Very likely I will be at the Lodge this Sunday for the Indiana Devotional. Any chance we could have some of the baskets in B positions?

there are a few in "B" right now J Gar.
its my understanding the rec players throw fits if too many are in "B" at one time.
KURT?!? can you chime in, por favor?

Current B pins are 5, 9, and 10. We tried to move 16 but WD-40 is needed. We decided that if we move 4 pins to B at a time Rec players won't complain to much.

Just a reminder to All who play the Lodge...
Last night Alanna and I played a round and found a 12 pack of empty beer cans scattered about the course. Thank God I was the one who found them and not Terry the grounds keeper. I would have to cut someones fingers off if the baskets got pulled again for someones drinking problems. The sad but good thing was they were littered on the ground and not in a trash can. About two years ago the baskets were pulled because someone drank and actually disposed of their beer cans in the trash.
So, if you play the Lodge PLEASE don't Drink!!!

I think the real message is "don't get caught"!
(and don't dispose of your empties in the garbage cans or on the course, please...) :D

I was there and found some of the cans myself. Please everyone. Take this seriously. The baskets were pulled just for a few cans littering the course. Do not be the one to make this happen again, perhaps for good this time.

I think it's pretty clear that the 4-5 people who post on this board from the Lodge know not to leave their cans on the course. The trick is to get the message accross to the casuals who are doing it.

Perhaps a laminated sign or two on the course reminding players about the strict restrictions against alchohol consumption and litter. Hole 2 might be a good place for such a sign....and another one on the back nine. Maybe these signs should mention the fact that the course was previously removed due to park management discovering beer cans on the course and in the garbage cans.......this might encourage some of the players to pack it in - pack it out.
