VP (X-Link - 1st Run) (http://www.primediscs.com/proddetail.asp?prod=VP)
Come and watch the Vibram Open and support the newest member of the golf disc manufacturing business: Vibram
A very limited number of their first golf disc, (the VP) will be available at the event (and probably on EBay afterwards.)
If you have ever wanted to own a piece of history, the inaugural disc, from an inaugural disc golf company, at an inaugural NT just might be your ticket.
It's not in the Players pack? I wanted to throw it for the Hole in won shot.
I heard a rumor the prize was doubled if you used the Vibram disc.

Is it approved? Looks funky with the Vibram insert & molded in lettering on the top. I'd pick one up if they were shipping just to have it & support Vibram in their disc making endevours.

2nd -- I'd buy one(s) if they could be shipped. Could it even BE approved with the non-symmetrical piece molded in to the top?
sweeeeeet flying object regardless, and I needs it.

Steve,
It's interesting that your web site states "...THEY WILL ALL BE BLACK...", and yet picture 4 of the 1-4 shows a blue one.

that is interesting. maybe some photoshop magic? ;)

i expect Vibram will be looking for PDGA approval long term and I expect that once they get some significant feedback on these pre-initial-run goodies, they will make a real production first run with a PDGA approvable design (whether it has to be tweaked a bit or not, we will have to wait and see.)

Steve,
I'm calling you on this one! I think all the one's you're INITIALLY putting out for sale are black; there are some other "special ones" which will be coveted / cost more / put up for auction / given to certain persons / etc.
And I'm sitting by my words (I would've said "standing by my words" but I'm sitting....).

No special ones have appeared yet, and when they do, they will not have the Vibram Open at Maple Hill raised text on them. We've got a couple dozen more of these pre-1st-run VPs for collectors looking to check out Vibram's first disc.

pre-1st-run
Pre-1st-Run? Is that kind of like 1st Annual? :D
Seriously these look cool. Is this the same company that makes the shoe soles?

Yes. Vibram is known for their shoe soles and they like the idea of jumping into disc golf. The inside diddy is that the pre-1st-run VP was a test run to see how folks liked the disc and the plastic. They have taken the feedback and - from what I understand - are tweaking the mold before they submit it for PDGA approval.
Sooooooo, these discs are pre-1st-run. :)
