You got the PDGA environmental committee chairman pictured with his huge Caterpillar? That's hilarious! I thought the big tractors were exactly OPPOSITE of what an environmentalist wants to see. A great idea for getting the word out but please don't send that picture with any of the documents when trying to win over a city or parks department :D

Bulldozers don't scare parks directors. Bulldozers are what are used to build parks and are one of the many reasons we need an environmental committee. Most parks directors know that any type of land disturbance will require erosion and sediment control measures and that is what Pat's specialty is.

Exactly. If we showed that image to the City Council in Sacramento when trying to get some courses in they would have cringed. I am sure Pat does a great job at what he does and knows a lot more about how to keep things envirnmentally sound than I do. It was just a funny image to me. Not necessarilly the right cover shot for Sports Illustrated on that one.
