Hi Friends!
Uncle Bob wanted to announce that soon he will hosting another Ebay auction to raise money for a solid brass plaque in Darrell Lynn's honor.
Darrell was a member of the Professional Disc Golf Association and was instrumental in implementing the disc golf course in Shelby Forest State Park at Memphis. He was inducted into the Disc Golf Hall of Fame in 1994 and served as the administrator of the PDGA from 1986 to 1993. Darrell diligently dedicated himself to the progression of the sport and the representation of the players. Throughout many board changes in the PDGA, it was often Darrell who shouldered critical responsibilities and took on tasks necessary to ensure the integrity of the organization. The early proliferation of professional disc golf around the world would not have been possible without the perseverance and personal sacrifices of Darrell Lynn.
The Lynn family wishes this for Darrell. He is asking you, the disc golf community, to come together as you did before and donate to this cause. The estimated cost of this solid brass plaque is $3,000. It may seem a bit much but nothing less would be a fitting tribute to Darrell. The ebay store will be named Darrell Lynn Memorial Auction. Uncle Bob is also asking for assistance in setting up the store on Ebay. If you are interested in helping out please contact Uncle Bob. His contact information is listed below.
My cell is 870-650-1332
My address for donations(checks, cash or discs):
Uncle Bob Thurmon
105 Brown Ln
Trumann, Ar. 72472
If sending check or money order you can make it out to "Darrell Lynn Memorial Fund" already established at Regions bank by Connie, Darrell's sister.
Take care my friends and again lets do this like we did before!
Thanks to all
