We need a new category here. Other PDGA Topics doesn't really fit. How about an added "Other Disc Golf Topics?"

Is that a good idea? You could call it "Breathalyzer keyboard wanted." Anything but "Other PDGA Topics." Something more general would be sooooo appreciated, like "What Mikey Might Say if He Weren't Banned for a Year." Ha ha.

NEFA has a purgatory section, where the really bad threads get banished, and access to them is restricted.

Turns out the Southern National discussion page, where I've left my best writing the last year or so -- those guys don't know me, and won't see me tomorrow, so it's easy to skip the small talk with them -- has it's own purgatory.

We did go down to Louisiana, Vinny, Rick and me, where we were treated like kings, and one guy in the parking lot by the Pot of Gold tournament course, down there in the broken and recovering region in and around New Orleans. This guys asks, "You the guy that writes all that stuff on the Internet?"

So anyway, my best writing ever, because Michael Kernan has become the new hate-you hound dog, and follows my fairly provocative posts with completely over the top posts that get the whole thread banished to some Faustian level of heck, now has restricted access.

I was wondering Mikey, if you can read this or if the PDGA has shut off access on your work computer at your accomplish-nothing-in-life-pull-a-paycheck job at the United States Post Office. I know you can't respond, which is good. It's incredibly good, actually. I'm feeling myself, making sure this isn't a dream, and it isn't. Yep, this very moment is the happiest I've ever been, and it's all because Mikey's voice has been silenced from the PDGA Discussion Board, right when he's reaching a very special crescendo in obnoxiousness, and statements that are, to borrow a phrase, beyond the pale.

Don't think I don't laugh, Mikey. I do. You're very funny, and very intelligent, but saying the worst thing you can say about everyone you know in, like, a single post, is not the best way to make friends.

BTW, Mikey. I made a big mistake in life. I lent Steve Dodge a book, "How to Make Friends and Influence People," by Dale Carnegie. A classic.

Who'd a thunk?

Still, one of the best courses ever right next door. Makes for a nice mix of emotions.

Wow, that post went from interesting and potentially insightful to hilariously fantastic yet inane and petty at the same time. I loved it!

It does illustrate one of the hazards of allowing over the top postings, but moving them to a private area. Some very good conversations can end up in the dungeon because of the antics of a single poster.

Thanks cwoj. It's nice to know I'm covering so much ground.
