Only 37 days left until we all converge on the State of Michigan (hope they're ready for us )
How about a bit of shopping to get yourself even more in the mood? All of the 2008 Worlds merchandise can be found at:
http://gottagogottathrow.com/discgolf/2008-worlds-merchandise-c-71.html
There's a plethora of merch to choose from -
** FLX Drones (get a free Ultra Light Buzz and have the chance to win a free ticket anywhere in the continental US!)
** Sparkle Rogues (win 18 baskets!)
** CFR Champion Wraiths, Destroyers, Gremlins, Glo discs and more
** DX Ontario, Ranch and San Marino Rocs
** CFR Star plastic
** SuperColor ESP plastic
** Special offerings from Huk Lab, Discwing, Latitude 64, Ching, Gateway, Little Flyers and more!
Remember - some of the items have limited weights and quantity. If it gets sold out by the time we leave, you will not be able to get it at the event. So if there's anything you have your eye on, it would be best to order it now!
Apparel has been ordered and will be available at the event as well as all the merch that is still available at the time we hit the road. We will also have some standard stock available for those emergencies (or impulse buys!)
We are looking forward to seeing you all in Kalamazoo. Don't hesitate to post or contact me with any merch questions you may have.

Are any of the Discwing Discs Approved? The PDGA list hasn't been updated in a month.

Quarter K is still the only Discwing approved. The only new discs approved since the 6-2-08 date currently posted online are: S Driver from Wham-O approved 6/22 and the Power Genesis from Ching and Power Driver from Discmania approved yesterday.

I have just heard from those in the know that the Discwing Quarter K II, Crosshair and Transcend should have final approval by the end of the week and that they will be usable at Worlds!

All discs permitted for use in a PDGA World Championship must have been formally approved and available in retail outlets at least 30 calendar days prior to the event.
Rather tight schedule since Homburg hasn't sent out the prelim approval for test results yet, the Board has to approve them and they have to be in retail outlets by this Saturday.

Howdy Chuck-
Word on the street is that the discs will make the 30 day window and be playable at the tournament.
When I get further info I'll post it up.

The clock is ticking, Worlds is getting closer, and the Sparkle Rogue sales have been crazy lately. <font color="blue"> There are only a few hundred left! </font>
Remember - you do not need to be present to win. Even if you are unable to attend the 2008 Worlds Tournament in Michigan, you and/or your club can still purchase the Sparkle Rogues on-line at http://www.gottagogottathrow.com/discgolf/2008-proam-worlds-discs-c-71.html and be entered into the drawing.
We will be taking any remaining Sparkle Rogues with us to the tournament (along with the rest of the Worlds merch) so make sure to order before we hit the road on August 6th. Once we are on the road, the Rogues will not be available on-line - they will only be available at the tournament. I will post the actual cut off date as it gets closer, however right now it looks like it will be August 5th - which only gives you TWO WEEKS.
The drawing will be held at the DGA Players Party at Bells Brewery on Tuesday the 12th. The winner will be contacted shortly after the drawing.
Who couldn't use another course?? Don't miss out on a chance to win your own private course OR a course for your town. How cool would it be to call up your Parks Department and say - "hey, I've got 18 baskets I want to donate".... or those of you currently working with your City or Parks Department on getting a course, call up your contact and tell them how they could potentially save a very large chunk of change and get all 18 baskets for only $24.95!
To those of you going to Worlds - see you in a few weeks. And to those of you unable to go - GOOD LUCK with the drawing!

How are you going to notify me that I've won the free 18 baskets? How do you know who has what tickets?

Good question that I should have addressed.
As merchandiser, we are tracking all of the discs sold and providing the DGA a list of the buyers and the ticket numbers that were sent out. When you order the disc we record your information and the ticket number that is being sent out with the disc.
While I am not 100% positive, I believe the DGA will attempt to call you if a phone number is provided - which is why it's very important to provide a working phone number. In the event the phone number does not work, they will contact you via email.
Hope that helps!
