Joe,
to be honest with you its just to hot for Bart right now. There isn't a gazebo or shelter of any kind and I don't have any staff.
I learned these things as I tried to get it started up earlier this month. What will happen though is I will make a limited field with tee times and I will not play. This will stink for me but it will be cool to acutally get one done there. I am thinking September or October.

I agree with you 100%, plus the tee boxes at Circle C would probably cause someone to get hurt.

Hey Everyone,
I believe online signups will be available this up coming week. We will run the same format as the Quickie. Pro's will play blue both rounds, adv&int will play white both rounds, and Women, Rec, Nov, and all Jr will play red.
The games will be the driving accuracy challenge, super d challenge, and vegas style ace pot. NO ring of fire this time. I am working on sponsors to give all divisions a chance at a CTP for both HILL and SHIRE courses. :D

Hey what would everyone one say about having an island hole?
I want to rope off 18 on the SHIRE. If you don't make it in the dragon's mouth its an automatic retee!!! Holy you know what, that would be awsome!
Super_D_Style
Jul 01 2008, 11:17 AM
We are for sure doing the super d challenge this time! So get out your baseball bat or golf club and start practicing in your backyard. You will need to run 35 feet, pick up a bat and spin 10 times then run back to the starting place and pick up your putter and throw.
This game has been tested and approved by the origional ninja himself! eL gUy

:D, I didnt see anyone make the Dragons mouth on #18 Shire or land on the green on Park Hill #12 from the blues at your last event.

Jul 01 2008, 01:40 PM
OK, hole 12 on the HILL is rather stupid because the wind is so unpredictable. I am sure everyone would like to have an ok round in the morning so we should scratch that one.
So Joe, are you saying it would be challenging and we should do it or its to difficult and we should pick another hole like......15 on the SHIRE. AKA the gauntlet

[/QUOTE]
on Shire #18 from the white tees it would be challenging and we should do it, but from the blue tees I think it would be too much.
I vote for hitting the green on the "Gauntlet" Shire #15,thats a good hole and its multi-tees so it would be fair for everybody.
I am probably screwing myself because at the last event I made the green on #18 (blue) and missed the green on #15.
setup a poll and lets take a vote.

Please contact me if you have something you would like to donate (discs, shirts, minis, hats, gift certificates). These will go towards the CTP on the course(s).
I have decided to help out one person every tournament that would like to play but can't afford the entry fee. For all of you that can afford a dollar or 50 cents or what ever, there will be a collection during signup to donate to this great cause.
So if your carma isn't very good right now you can cash in on this opportunity. What ever the difference is in the end I will cover. (this week's entry has already been picked)
Bought for you by Super D himself!!!

I am choosing the delegate. There was one die hard player that fit the description for this type of jackpot. If there is more than one next time, which there will be now that the jackpot exists, I will do a drawing and contact the winner the day of the cut off. The winner will be contacted so their identity stays hush hush. This may be a bad idea but everything is worth trying once.

I told the TDs that I was not able to pay by Thursday and they said to just mail in a check. If you want I will give you the address and you can go that route. You can even ask for a late deposit. The island will have a runway that will stretch from the tee box to the circle surrounding the basket. Everyone will have one chance to throw and if you fail to land safely on the island you must go to the drop zone.
I will make the drop zone close enough for anyone to make it (approx. 60 feet)

D, the only reason that I think we should be playing the blues as well is for ratings. Jeff is right, the only thing that separates us from the pros is putting. I don't really care about the ace as much as I care about playing the course and getting a good rating from it.
Should the ADV division play the blues this weekend?
Take the poll you whiners

the island hole is official. I will have a landing strip from the tee box to the basket. There will be a 30 foot circle surrounding the basket. If you don't make the circle the first try then you have to go to the drop zone. It will be a 60 foot putt!

This time around if no one hits the ACE there will be three baskets to throw at. If no one makes it like Caley did last time, we will have three CTP spots that will throw off for the ACE POT $$$.
the Baskets will be layed out in thirty feet distances from the origional basket.
One will be 30 longer and the other will be 30 closer.

You can sign up on titledisc through tomorrow or pay at the country club this weekend. You can pre register at the country club. I perfer pre registration but I will accept late sign ups. That means you have to be there no later than 7:30am.
God knows we are never going to get on the tee box at 8 but thats the plan and I am sticking to it.

Hardcore and I just installed the island hole.
Let me explain:
It is 240 feet to the basket from the tee for all divisions. The island starts 30 feet infront of you and goes 15ft wide at the beginning then expands to 25-30 feet in the middle. The largest is around the basket to the left and right at 60ft max but you are OB if you go over 6 feet past the basket.
The drop zone is located outside the island approx. 80 feet on the left from the tee box to the large tree in the middle of the fairway. Its about 150 ft throw. If you don't make the island you must retee until you do. Once you make the island you have to shoot from the last place the disc went OB. So just make the island once and from there you can take it from where you went out.
This way you can't run it and just drop behind the basket for an easy 3. Good luck everyone and I hope you get some practice in on it before the second round starts.
Looking forward to this event. I thank each and everyone of you for participating in this charity event.
Wish us luck On the C Tour. We depart at 5am!

I just updated the ratings format but now there isn't a rating for the other divisions. I know the Open and ADV ratings are correct but the others will have to be worked on.
Almost a 1000 rated round Easy. Nice consistant game you played yesterday afternoon.

Please thank the staff of TPCC every chance you get. They busted their bottoms serving 54 hot and crazy golfers this Sunday and the amount of work they do sometimes goes unnoticed.
Remember to check out the membership deals they have going on and help support the club so it can stay a success. No one else in Texas has what we have here in Austin so lets keep on supporting people like them.
I also want to thank Waterloo Disc Golf Club, Disc Nation, TitleDisc The Ninjas, All the out-of-towners that came to support the charity. We raised 275 dollars for the Special Olympics Texas.
The players fund was almost a success. We raised 20 dollars for one of the ADV players to play. We will work out something for the 100 holes of hell.
The Vegas Style Ace Pot was CRAZY. We had three baskets set at 170 200 and 230. John Frost gambled 10 dollars of his money and stuck the middle basket on his last one. The three baskets allowed three throw offs for the 50, 30, 20 split on the 215 dollar pot. John also parked another basket so he got to throw twice in the money. Brother Leon got the third chance and walked away with some money. Congradulations to (Laser) Leon and John for competing against 200 throws.
