LOL... Poor Danielle had to change the facebook, myspace, website, pdga board etc. If you have not signed up to our FACEBOOK and MYSPACE do it now. Danielle does a great job keeping it updated and answers all inquiries pretty quickly. Shameless plug over. It is a two day event and it will be rocking as usual. I'm out... back to DzO being MeZo.

Hey guys, I put it out there a couple of weeks ago about just doing some jamming at the Osage Open. Does that sound good to everyone? Let me know or PM me.

I have guitar & bass and will travel to jam.....I don't have any cover for my bass cab if it's raining though. :(
Sweet blues and classic rock till the cows come home.
I can play drums too but I don't have any at the current time. :(
My keyboard has drum patches that sound good though.
I think Andrew can play a few 3 chord Barry Manalow songs.
Then there is always Twoputt whose prime talent is playing the one-eye skin flute. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Furdog, I am going to take some pictures and email them to Andrew so he can post them on the discussion board, (I don't know how). We will jam in the clubhouse so weather shouldn't be an issue.

May 30 2008, 12:00 PM
Well I wasn't really worried about the weather up there. My cab has two 15" subs in it and is too big for the cab of my truck. I just don't want it getting wet in the back of the pickup on the way up there if it's raining.
I might just bring the keyboard instead because it basically has almost everything and sounds really good.

I don't think we need any speakers I have two Peavey with 15" subs and two more that came out of a movie theater that I built in about midway in the building. We have pretty good sound. Just need players and their tools. The ones that came out of the movie theater are both 15's with about 12 mids and a big horn each.

Does that mean you're going to stick around after the golf and party? :o
Most of the time you're out of the parking lot before the chains on the basket settles.
I think Marie will be coming also. She was my roadie last weekend when I played at John Green's daughters wedding and she'll keep people from crashing the stage during my 25 minute rendition of "Dazed and Confused". Maybe Jim can get her a cattle prod to use on you. I know how crazy you groupies can be. :D

Well you need to follow Paul McCartney's lead and switch to bass because George and John were not about to give up the guitar. The strings are bigger and there are fewer of them for you to have to think about. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
And quit trying to get me to play Grateful Dead tunes. ;)

You can put 10 guitars up on a stage but if they are all doing their own separate solo all the time then there will be no rhythm and your show will be replaced with a karaoke machine after the first set.
Playing bass is cool and if you and the drummer are tight then people won't notice your mistakes as much as the guitar players and you won't need someone off to the side holding "Q" cards for you. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I'm with you...I like playing DG but I like playing music more.... :)
Book me for the first act on Saturday, and let me know when "It's After Midnight" because we're going to let it all hang out.
When I was younger, all things were possible.
Now that I'm older,....all things are still possible but it takes less time to make it happen!!!!
Please cover and secure the barn doors because"Something Twisted Soon Comes Your Way"....... :)
Be not surprised to see dancing squirrels, rocky raccoons, & "Pigs From Outer Space" arriving within you land and seeking refuge within your hospitality and your peaceful fields of gold.
Here is a pre-Fur-mal-la-knee song list for you.....
Furbird (If I leave an egg tomorrow)
Kansas City (Easy 3 chord county song)
Born on a Furou
Feel Like Making Fur (Offshoot of an old Bad Company song)
Norweigen Fur
Who'll will stop the Fur
Wish You Were Here ( If Opie is ready)
Turn the Fur (Because sometimes it is a long and lonesome hyway)
Three chord blues rock (Andrew.....E....A......Bm) I'll have "Q" cards.
Sylvia's Mother
Why Don't We Do It at the Lodge
Disco Beaver from Outer Space
Susie Q
DW Sucks DK
Squeezebox (The ulimate reward at the end of a long day!)
From Lil'Moose...."Hide Your Fur Away"
Followed by exsessive pyro-technics and big explosions...!!!!!
You all know I like DG but I'm tired of being tired after it.
I want to do a little of this...and a little of that
What I like about it is all the good friends and times I have shared with everyone.
And I will personally be there to wake evveryone up a 1am if you're not listiening to what I have to say.....
Peace, love, and good things. Let's send this event and everyone home with a "Wow....Did you see what I just saw???" :)

Well just between me and you...In high school Dave spent most of his time as a towel boy in gym class. He always had SOME type of injury that kept him off the field. I never thought too much about it until coach caught him checking out everyone's "package" by the Zemi machine.
Needless to say that was dishearting to me because he was always a professonal at the Foosball table. But then again he always wore football pads and a cup, which he claimed it was because an ex-girlfriend was out to get him.
I never saw the ex but I do know that he was extremely popular within the male cheerleading squad. They used to show up at the foosball hall and drag him away saying.."Dave ...Dave...He's our man...If he can't do us no one can!!!"
I lost touch with him after high school. I stayed here and I heard later he was selling tornado insurance in San Francisco.
Funny how life after HS separates people.

No furdog half songs and sad beatles covers.

Beware what you wish for Drew, there are many a Succubi (plural) out there. ;)http://www.southparkstuff.com/images/stories/epiimgs/epi303/sp303_transform_bg.gif
a SUCCUBUS (plural succubi) or succuba (plural succubae) is a demon, who takes the form of a beautiful woman to seduce men, especially red heads [1] in dreams to have sexual intercourse. They draw energy from the men to sustain themselves, often until the point of exhaustion or death of the victim.

Jun 11 2008, 06:42 PM
No need for an acordian. I'm bringing my keyboard. It has everything and will provide a basic drum beat since no drummer has stepped up.
Like you said, I don't think Jim understands what it is like when DG'ers get together and jam. ;)
I will also bring a microphone so you all will listen TO EVERYTHING I HAVE TO SAY!!!!...at least until Jim cuts off the power.
We should probably get together and rehearse so it looks like we know what we're doing.
My concerts tend to end up like a Who concert but instead of the band doing it,....the audience is usually the ones that come up and smash the instruments.

You can camp for $5.00... the area is just past Hole #18 on the OG Course. Food is available and there should be a menu up soon (unless I've missed it.
Jay Reading sent up a few goodies for the KELDOG EDGE Raffle that can only be had from EDGE, before he headed over to Japan! THANKS JAY!

This will probably be draw doubles trying to pair pro's with an am.
I hope to see you there as this is a warm up for the Osage Open next weekend...
We may try to work on tee pads after the round, but please do not feel like you have to stay. I know everyone is busy..

FREE TANK OF GAS, er, maybe. The new "LODGE CHALLENGE". Four players to a card so here is the challenge, pick four guys from each area, ie Tulsa area, OKC area, Arkansas, Kansas. Players do not actually have to be on the same card just identified as such for the challenge. For example, say Keldog is on a card with Rotan and Twoputt, he will actually be combining his score with 3 other players from arkansas like Heath and Bailey. We identify the four "card members" from each region prior to play. Low scores for the "area card" wins $100 put up by The Lodge. This way somebody goes home with a tank of gas on The Lodge or, $25 each. 2nd place card wins a free meal for each player and whoever comes in last ought to have to sing Karaoke with Furdog. :D

So another tournament where Mitch would have won if he had played open! Thats crazy, played his course at his house this morning that will be set up for the tourny and I liked it. Might be the best set up I have seen since i've been out there, and looks like Big Dave should step up also what up wit that?!

And Joe Rotan and myself both got our first tournament aces! On the same card, during the same round. Only two aces of the weekend. :D
You just can't say enough good things about the Taylor family. Now my wife knows first hand what I've been telling her about the Lodge. One of the best times of the weekend, was my wife and I taking the mule way out on the course and just setting there looking at the stars.
Too cool! ;)

Sounds like another great time at the Lodge.....What hole did Joe ace? I'm guessing 6
You guys need to have more tourneys out there....Every weekend you have a tourney at the Lodge I win in Georgia...I'm thinking of you guys all the time, wishin I was there, maybe that is what drives me to play well....I'm so happy that the Lodge is building steam and before too long there will be waiting list to get into all the events there.

I hit 14 on the orginal course from the whites and Joe hit a temp hole across the little creek on the new course, I think hole 5. We had it set up at about 200ft.
Mike Click hit the 5K ace hole, only to have it go through the chains, teeter on the edge and fall out the back of the basket. :o

What I Did on my Lodge Jam Vacation..
I woke up. Then I showed up 2 hours late but blamed it on LilMoose.
I drank vodka.
Entered Nov division but quit after two holes. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Then I drank beer and tried my luck at the ball golf driving contest.
I would have won if there had been an award for negative yardage.
I saw Twoputt and Hutch in the pond swimming for discs and envisioned a snapping turtle attack. :)
Then I drank beer and ate a killer Indian taco.
The Twisted Lodge Jam was fun. Im looking forward to doing that again. The late night Twisted Rap Session was rocking.
Naegele did not get "sharpied" although Sal was a possible prospect at one time.
I saw The Waynester drink a beer. :o
I got to play my Going to the Lodge song.
Women were dancing on the bar and no fights started in the mosh pit. Big Dave & Mr. Twisted crowd surfed but the crowd accidentally dropped Big Dave. ;)
Dough Duff sat in on the drums but muffed his solo.
I drank more beer. :)
The Waynester played the harmonica and wore his sunglasses at night.
"And the crowd called out for more!!!!"
After signing autographs LilMoose and I headed for the Black Gold around 2am. I missed the turn and ended up at the Economy Inn. LilMoose took over the driving duties at the point. If you have never stayed at the Black Gold then the best way for me to put it is that you dont need hangers to hang your clothes. They will stick to the wall. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Driving back to the Lodge the next day I saw a cow on the wrong side of the fence. I think it had escaped and was heading for California.
The Lodge is a great place whether youre play DG or not. The Taylors treated LilMoose and I like family and I want to say thank you. The Lodge really has the good vibs going on. If you havent been there then youre missing out.
And the birds and the animals came together and saw that it was good.
Thanks again Jim, Deb, staff, and Mr. Twisted for putting this on. :)

Yeah just like Oklahoma years 2000-2005 ..... You had to be a Mc to be 1000. Emory Hammock is also 1000+ but ;) GA just had 3 fall out of 1000 but there should be 1 added next ratings. It's hard for players around here. Imagine nearly every course being tighter than Copperhead Canyon @ YMCA....

What is the TFO?
Thanks for your concern Jim and I will be back to the Lodge soon. I'm not married yet (just engaged), but I appreciate the offer (and the vote of confidence) and will try and get Mary Beth up to the Lodge also.

Wow! It has taken over 24 hours to recouperate from the last 48 hours!!! I had an absolute blast this weekend. A big TWISTED THANKS TO JIM, DEB AND LEAH for offering up such an awesome place for us all to assemble.
Congrats to Mike Click who was the closest shot on both days (a splash and a 3 foot pole shot). Thanks to everyone who donated goods and the chefs who whipped up the chow for us.
Josh Crowl should be a stand in for Tiger while his knee heals.
As for the course it is still the hardest walk in the State. As for my new band TWISTED BIG DOG be looking for us somewhere down the road... it took Chris Himing 4 years to bust a rap on his mic and it felt good to be able to get up with my homies BIG NIC and FURDOG and bang out some jams... I remember "I friggin' happy" being our best jam of the night.
TwoPutt said it best "what a place". Thanks to everyone that continues to come to our events and support the lodge and twisted flyer. Next walk thru the Lodge for TWISTED is the 5th annual Twisted Flyer Open on September 6th and 7th where we will be shooting for....
