The only real difference I find is that the T-Bone will hold an anyhyzer line longer, whereas the Assassin has a little bit of fade at the end thus making it a tad bit more predictable.

I throw both and I have to disagree with SOTD....
the assassin initially has more fade than the T-Boner, however, the plastic that the assassin comes in breaks in SO quickly that after three rounds you will have a total flipper that if thrown with hyzer will stand and turn its entire flight holding the anny line. I have two, both did this.
The T-Bone, in the NEW plastic, is the straightest flying disc made. VERY Little fade and holds the line you throw it on. This disc has become my straight shot go to.
I've found the T-Bone to be more wind resistant as well.

I felt a new plastic Boner at Columbia on my way to the STL last week, and they feel very much like a grippier FLX plastic. A quality feeling disc. I haven't thrown the TBone since it came out, but I would compare it new to a TL, perhaps a touch longer. They broke in too quickly in SRP for my taste though, hence the reason that they're no longer in the bag.

You can get the new plastic through those uber cool doods at MarshallStreet.
no, its not srp. Its flexible and grippy, somewhat like FLX plastic, but no where near as soft (I cant bend the sides together to touch like my buzzz or surge).
I do feel that it is a big improvement over the SRP, at least in the week or so I've been throwing the new plastic. My grudge with SRP is that it beats in too fast then is useless. I dont see this plastic getting that way.
T-BONER flies on a straighter line than a dx teebird. It has less turn and fade throughtout the entire flight.
TL for me is SLIGHTLY longer than a T-BONE and the TL has more work in its flight as well. I find the T-Bone to be more predictable than the TL however.
thus, if you want an A ------> B arrow that grips and feels like a teebird in your hand then get a T-Bone. Heck, if youre talking about all these Teebirds and TL's get one anyway. You're gonna like it. If not you can sell it to me for cheap!!! :D

Is the T-Bone in the new plastic more stable than the Assassin in your opinion? I havent checked it out yet, but am really looking forward to whenever a shipment may come into the store here in BG.

the new plastic T-Bone is more stable than the Assassin.
The T-Bone amazes me to this day as it really has less fade than a TL, Assassin, etc. while still staying somewhat stable and resistant to high speed turn during flight. Throw it flat and its a rope to where you threw it. It WILL turn, dont get me wrong, but only if you throw it with slight anny.
I've tossed alot of different discs in my 2 years playing and the T-Bone is by far the straightest flying disc out there for me.

Definitely want to check one out then. I threw the T-Bone for a while too, but it got flippy after about a months use, and I was always having to buy backups.

Looks like someone who doesn't like anything thats not Innova or Discraft. I have heard NW pro's say Gateway is a toy company just trying to cash in on Disc-golf.

When the young guns like Nikko, and GG start taking the titles then Gateway will finally start getting better recognition, and more respect in the disc golf world.

Speaking of which, congrats to GG for taking down the Champ this past weekend! Who comes from behind to take Climo in the last round??!! And in the state of FL no less! This is quite a milestone for the kid.

No
well good for you then. why even comment to begin with?
anyway, moving along. As for a toy company trying to cash in... I think the new plastic changes that whole perception.
and Gateway by far makes the best putters around (among other discs I've expressed my liking for). If you all LOVE your aviars, well, thats probably because its all you have ever known. That held true for me until I gave the wizard and warlock combo a try. I will NEVER throw anything else as putters.
if you all have legitimately tried these discs and dont like them, thats great. At least you all are speaking from experience. There is crap all over the market and everyone is guilty. Dont knock Gateway cuz they're the little guy. Knock them because you really have given them a chance and you cant work with their bees.

I too was having issues with my boner. And like many of you thought the ASSasin might help.
Don't be fooled by the hype. Nothing can replace good exercise and eating habits.
And don't even think about this new Zoom thing from Discraft... my pastor tells me it will make you go blind!

You can't throw the T-bone as far as you woud like
try just tossing the bone for starters and then work on arm
and wrist strength
If this doesn't work buy a FireChicken

I do have a couple of assassins that I throw into my bag on occasion just to mix it up. I find them ok unless its windy. I'm glad to hear they get less stable quickly. I'm gonna go have to hit some trees!

just don't pair the assassin with your t-boner. All sorts of unpredictable things can happen when those two get together in the same bag.

Telling you the boner works. Nikko , devan, and I all used them and shot 1000+ rated rounds with only three discs in which the boner was one.

And if rating is below 850 you're out of luck because no one makes a car cool enough to help you.
