Mike?
Is there any chance we could play all four rounds from the longs?
New Bern long is a ttrue test of skill...
Just curious...
I am not a big fan of holes of the white holes 1, 7, 8, 17 and 18...
9 is a very fun shot

I love all the longs though...
Opinions?
too late?

Sounds like a good idea Myers....but like you said, it might be too late to suggest that. People have probably been practicing from both pads already.

Happy Birthday Mus
I am planning on making it this weekend. I like the idea of playing both pads, it gives you a variety of shots. Plus, changing the plan this late can be a bad idea (just my opinion as a TD).
Whatever layout it will be fun.

I have set the layouts with those comes ctps, etc, plus people like all pads at New Bern, and it the fisrst 2 day there at the park so it would be only right to use all pads, the city is supposed to be taking care of course work, since i live in j-ville, and i appreciate your oppinion Meyers, but want to make fun for all, so will c yall there

Monty, I have been out of town but I will get that updated before New Bern. Two questions regarding the course and work:
What pad on 13 long will we be playing? (the original with the mando or the newer one that Joe/KG suggested that we put in for One Moe)
If we are to visit the course before the event, what work can we do? (tee pads, trash pickup, etc)

i have thought about this for a couple of days, and this what i think would best work, would like to play one from both or just one, not sure, looking for feedback yall, as far as course work goes, talked to the city guys today , they are going to get all the trash abd cut grass , limbs, etc, me and my asst td (chris lewis) will be there saturday morning about 7:00 am to mark pads and hole sponsors, obs, just want all of yall to come play and have a great time, Scotty have a hole sponsorship for Three Rivers, all yall getting one for Greenville ? Told Max
1 for 25 2 for 40, let me know

Hole 13 LONGS
Both tees or just one, yall let me know

MTL21676

the new 13 long that we played at One Moe is the better hole between the older long and the newer one.

I hope we play the newer one.

Jun 17 2008, 02:54 PM
I would like to see one round from the shorts, maybe Sunday morning. 13's pad between the two OGs is pretty nice, better than the blues pad. The short pad is fine. Good luck with the OB though, there is a lot of OB and no real defined lines with all those parking posts. I'll be in the Bern tomorrow, hit you guys up around 430.

Jun 17 2008, 03:43 PM
as far as New Bern go's here are my thoughts (wow that kinda sounded like tivvle)
1) longs and shorts are cool i aggree wit scotty there are a variety of shots
2) Hole 13 either way that hole is FLUKIE no preference just praying for a 3
3) Hole 16 - there is no way those old foundations that are in the middle of the fairway should EVER play OB.

PatrickColoton
Jun 17 2008, 03:49 PM
JEB

We will have all the the OBs marked , put it this way, if you go past the paint you are OB you will see, Me and Chris are going to have New Bern looking good, trust the Birdman, , still looking for a little more feedback on 13 tee have a good idea so far what people will enjoy
By the way

PatrickColoton
Jun 17 2008, 08:52 PM
Well here is what we are going to do, we are going to use the new tee pad location, but it will still be a mando on that hole, and as far as 16 goes the road and shelter is ob not the two foundations, hope we all enjoy

Predictions?
I'm picking One F two N's in Open (easy choice)
I'm picking Chernoble in Advanced (not an easy choice)
I'm picking Mitchell in Intermediate (he's already on top)

My own personal goal is to finish 56 or better from the longs and 48 or better from the shorts...

Is that too much to ask Disc Golf God (or do you just go by Schwebby now????)

Placing me on the list with this name is very unprofessional. Like me or not, this should not happen. I think most players would agree that things like this make the tournament appear to be more like a monthly rather than a PDGA sanctioned event and that a first and last name looks much more professional.

Worst of all Scott, it is not your event. If it was your event, I would not say a word.

Thanks for volunteering to the get the list of pre-registered players up!

Thanks so much to Mike and Chris for stepping up and running a tournament on a course that needed a 2 day event!

Congrats to Jeb. Unreal play. Watching that 41 was a pleasure - and to think you missed 2 and 7!!! Hofmann and I looked back thinking about how good we shot and that he made us look like we were playing mediocre.

Jeb, Hofmann and I were on the lead card rounds 2 - 4 - I remember when Jeb couldn't make a putt to save his life. Hofmann and I traveled together and on the way back and thought about the rounds. He literally did not miss a thing inside 35 feet during those rounds. Amazing. The BEST putting display inside the circle for a weekend I've ever witnessed. No lie.

Thanks once again to anyone who had anything to do with this tournament - what a good time had by all! Sure hope this tournament is an annual event!!!

Big thanks to Mike & Chris for running the event. Very proud it was the site of my first Am1 trophy. Great shootin Joe and Jeb (hope you enjoyed the Thermos bath). Glenburnie is a tough test of skill and control and deserved a 2-dayer...hope we keep it going.

Ah, the shower.

I always bring that jug with me b/c it fills water in my nalgene for both rounds and then there is always plently left over at the end of the day for me to drink then.

I finish and I see Sean grab it and start walking towards the water fountain. I go "what are you doing?"

He stutters (as Jeb was standing right there) "um....I was thirsty and wanted to get a some water"

I start thinking "well, just drink from the fountain then" but was also thinking "well, whatever"

About 2 min. later Sean comes to me and tells me his plan and really what he was doing. I told him I approved :D

The funniest part was when Jeb thanked the Greenville boys, then got dunked and then said "well, I don't like them as much now"
