i'd like to encourage those who have not voted to do so before the polls close!
i support kieffer and rothstein as possible voices for common sense on what has become (apparently) a somewhat contentious board. no more change for change's sake!

I'll second this and add Joe Rotan and Rand Eberhard. Both are experienced TD's and are actively promoting the sport in their areas.

In the age of exit polls and instant gratification, when are the results from the PDGA elections going to be released?

They will be reported in Issue #3 of FDM, which is slated for release in August 2011. :p

I believe that they notify the candidates before releasing the info to the membership. This may be the hold-up.
Hopefully they release the vote totals for all candidates, not just a list of the three who won.

That seems silly.

There's no reason to wait for Worlds to announce the BoD. Now if the PDGA elections were just a popularity contest, I could see waiting until Worlds... Oh ... I get it.

The PDGA office is waiting to receive a copy of the certified election results from the elections house before we make an official announcement. The names of the newly elected BOD members and State/Provincial coordinators will be announced as soon as we receive this documentation, hopefully later today.
Thanks for your patience!

"i wonder if the rothstein landslide was precipitated by the FDM fiasco."
i wouldnt doubt it. altho the irony is completely off the hilarity scale.

Great, take one of the most successful TDs in the sport, one of the longest term contributors, and a great publisher, and distill his land slide victory down to FDM. Toss in some irony as a garnish.
Myself, I attribute it to common sense on the part of our membership. Thank Buddha.
BTW - I notice that yet once again the membership rejects the reform agenda. Hmmmmmm

I printed out the ballot and stuck it to the wall. Then I threw 3 darts.....
Sorry Pat, but the dart next to Cris's name was 5.6% closer.....

1 of 3 I voted for made it in, but did anyone notice that the 3 who won almost NEVER post on the message board(haven't in the last year at all) and pretty much only did in official and/ or TD capacities when they used to post? Gillis for the IDGC when he worked there, Rothstein and Bellinger as Mag /TD's talk.
3 of the next 4 getting over 500 votes post on the message board pretty regularly, with all of them being considered reform (in one direction or other) candidates.
Message board taketh and mesaage board giveth away it seems the last 2 elections.
Lets see what happens in '09 with the other BOD positions.

Yes, and thanks to all the candidates for offering their time and effort to the sport. Most if not all had long resumes of advancing disc golf, and I trust those efforts will continue.
