Those you're seeing are rare colors. If you read the auctions they tell you how many of that color were produced. I think the green is the only green one there is! Those are not the ones released to the public. There is only one as of right now that was purchased from the site. It is $31, but it has 6 days to go.

Last year first run champion destroyers were over 150.00 bucks. Now there 17.00. It's not like they will be sold out and never made again. Of course they will frreak out and then be NORMAL priced discs. History repeats it's self.

I don't know Mark the the star, football, and bar stamps still sell for around 50+ especially the original star stamp.. 150.00 won't be seen again on these but these Excalibers at least saying on the disc "first run" will help it retain a collectors value. The true 1st run champ destroyers had tourney stamps and most people will forget or not be impressed by a tourney stamp 1st run so those went way down in value. Just my opinion /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif OHHH i got some 1st run champ XCALIBERS for trade Mark :p

1st run wraiths somewhat did the same thing in CFR though the price didn't go quite as high...then they went back to the original price and are slowly going back up

You never know...I would get rid of them now and make a few bucks

then again..check out USED SE Rhyno's...they can fetch 25-50 used..

I'll stick with Rocs, Midnight Flyers and other discs that have held their values for time

True about the Wraiths but there were a couple thousand i believe. A smaller run (200 each of four stamps) will help retain their value i think. I really didn't see the hoopla though with the Xcalibers as compared to the Destroyer and don't really know what most Discers think of them... the flat top one i throw(star) seems less stable than my pro destroyer but flys farther?? My pro Wraiths still get me the most D

The mini star ones must have gotten scooped up before I got on there because I only saw the swooshes and grabbed two of those. I'd be interested in trading for a mini star as well if someone has one. I've got multiples of all 3 other ones.

I will trade you a swoosh for a big star... I don't think the Mini Stars made it in... or did they? I had swoosh in my cart like 6 times and it got cleaned... I got in last minute style, when it sent me back to the site they were off again...

The mini stars were there for a second , but when I put one in my cart it crashed . Luckily I had already purchased a swoosh. Maybe if they oversold , they took the mini down to replace some swoosh' stamped ones that were ordered.Wishful thinking on my part. :confused: :D

OK here I go - Peterson pessimist. You must've gotten shut out of these Mark or want to see them die.

First of all Ch. Destroyers went way over $150 at first - sometimes as much as $400, thanks to Donny Olow. Problem is, he's seemingly dropped off the face of the earth. They're still going for at least $50 to $100 depending on color and stamp. Where are you on the Ch. XCalibers Donny? I think these will be hot because of the low numbers and Innova TM stamps incorporated in to them. Yea, future designs will go for less but they did a sweet job on these CFR's.

Thanks Mike. If tonight's auctions were any indication, it looks like the 150 mark is not that far off. I saw some at 120+ with 15 min left in auction (blueberry big star rainbow foil). Not sure how it ended, but I'm sure the mini star stamp will be popular in all the collectible colors. There is no scheduled release of the champion XCaliber into the CFR program. Its sure to happen eventually, but it could be a little while. The "blueberry" in particular is a rare color for champion plastic period. With the addition of the "first run" innova stamps, + the low release numbers I would bet these would hold value more than most first run discs. Of course the collectors market is an unpredictable beast and I could be completely wrong, but that's my opinion.

I never saw any get to $120 for the big group of them that ended on 5/5. All went for between $75 and $102.50 with most in the lower end of that range. Still a pretty penny.

Yea, this run was just about a sweet a batch of Champion plastic that I've ever seen - super clear rims on the ice and very clean black ones. Also, they did them justice by stamping them with rainbow and metallic/refractor foils on some instead of the boring black gloss and chrome that we saw on the FR Champion Destroyers.

These champion ones are definatly different looking than the stars. Mine have no dome at all, all the star i have seen have pop top domes, especially the ECO's. I am curious to throw one but haven't yet. It seemed to me the eco's were more stable with the huge dome so i'm not sure i will like these.

If they truley are more stable than any others i may have to try one out though!

i have 10 champs nd i have some that are flat and some that are domey, not huge poppy top domey. the only reglar star xc i have is super flat and its not great for big headwinds. i have 3 ecos. e that have a nice mild dome and 1 poppy top mega dome. the mild dome ones are f-ing awesome. i wasn't a fan of these at first, but have reall come to like them over the last coupe of weeks.

I just got the last of th set I was trying to build and I want to show it off. :D

I hear ya. I have an eco that I've been using for 3 weeks that is a hyzerflip, slightly HSS understable. It has had a few big tree hits. Its a nice disc

This is the same thing I thought when I saw these.

The things I remember his ebay auctions and when you bought them was something along the lines of innova has no plans of running the disc any time soon, not just the hot stamp, that's a given. Also, I think on the boards people were speculating they may run them only for the big tournaments. I guess I can't blame innova for not being able to keep it in their pants! Although I feel with the destroyers, they at least waited more than a month.

Can someone comment on the relative stability of the first runs (star stamped Star plastic), the regular production run Star, EcoStar, and first run Champion?

I know the EcoStar is domey, but is actually quite overstable. The Champion I have is flat, but may not be quite as stable as the EcoStar.

Please post with any direct comparisons in flight you have done.

INCREDIBLE deal on 2 CFR Champion X-Calibers

Wow, I just read through 82 posts and only 2 commented on how this disc actually flies.

I picked one up this weekend after a recommendation from a friend. I've been throwing a domey, red, max weight Star XC. I've found it to be a more predictable version of a Destroyer in the wind. I had hoped it would be a true overstable disc like a Firebird/Monster/Max only as fast as anything out there. Not quite...

The Champion XC I have is max weight with a very small dome. Most of the others I felt were COMPLETELY flat. The Champion plastic is fairly grippy, though not gummy at all. Flightwise this disc is faster, more overstable, and has better lift than my Star XC. I throw Z Predators for my overstable disc, and the Champion XC to me flies like a faster version with the lift and glide of the Predator. I threw it yesterday in wind that definetely was messing with the timing of my Predator's flight characteristics. The Champion XC was smooth and fast and did not get knocked around by the wind at all. I only threw it once forehand and I was very impressed. Right now I'm pretty happy with it. I think that its probably the fastest, most usable truly overstable driver out there. If it keeps its stability over time it will be even better.

Right on again DiscSpeed. The champ XC is what the disc should be, faster, further, overstable Max, with glide. I use it for long windy drives and can trust it unlike Teerex and star XC'x thanks man. and wow that Boss can fly......thanks again

He prefers it for a certain shot. You need the boss for all out Distance and room to "S" around, star wraith for consistant no room for error Distance, and Champ XC for stupid head wind but need more D than Pred can offer. So they are a 3 SET COMBO.

I was just saying I prefer the Champion XC over the Star XC and every other fast, overstable disc. I would not consider the Force and Destroyer truly overstable discs, but rather discs that are straight flyers that require a lot of torque to work right.

Like Hollywood said, right now I've grooving the Wraith/Boss/Champ XC trio for my distance needs.
