I can't get enough D out of my Ontario Rocs, and my Kite lacks distance as well and tends to come back - Would anyone have a disc to reccommend? I was thinking Sidewinder or Roadrunner, but all ideas are welcome!!! Thanks, Cory.

roadrunner will hold the line, sidewinder will come back. if you are looking for turnover the roadrunner is the better of the two.

SW or RR would work, but don't forget about the stingray.

Sounds like you want something really understable. I would recommend an Avenger SS, it holds a better line than a roadrunner. The Roadrunner would be my second choice. If you get one, get it in star plastic. Dx Archangel may be an even better choice depending on your armspeed.

I would recommend you pick up a Star Singray and a Champion Roadrunner. The stingray will give you a little more distance than the roc, and the roadrunner will give you quite a bit more distance as it is an all out distance driver. I prefer the champion to the star plastic on the roadrunner and I happen to prefer the roadrunner to the avenger SS but they are very close so pick one or the other.

I can't get enough D
Since you're looking for D then I'd go with the Sidewinder or I prefer the Avenger SS or the Roadrunner over the Stingray. I've thrown all 4 of them at one time or another. I carry an Avenger SS and a star Roadrunner in my bag now. The SS gives me a little more left turn at the end of its flight where the RR is pretty much right turn only.
Stingray is a good disc but would have trouble in a distance competition with the other options.

My favorite turnover disc would have to be the pro starfire its very consistent and can make it through some tight tunnel holes and still hold the line you put it on.

The champ roadrunner is a great disc for long turnover shots, roller!!!!, and tunnel shots on a hyzer release(think hyzer flip)very little fade comming back.....cobra and stingray would be a little shorter but hold very good turnover lines :D

Both works well, a third alternative is Opto Vision from Latitude.

I love the Roadrunner for turnover distance... also, a beat rogue is nice for turnover d

If you want the disc to hold a pure turnover line nothing beats a Roadrunner. If you want the disc to have a little fade at the end try the Avenger SS. I also find that the Avenger SS has more glide to it.

Try the Roadrunner(Champ or Star). However, you must throw it with the nose down or you will get the same result as your Kite - not much distance and it will come back at the end. A Kite should not come back if thrown with the nose down.

You may also want to think about weight. If you currently throw discs in the 170's you should try weights in the 160's or even 150-class. Lighter weights often equal more glide.

The Sidewinder comes in 150 class. I believe that the Roadrunner does not. At least I've never found one and I do look for them. :D
I'm sure that Discette knows. ;)

I think a mid weight disc (mid 160s) will out glide a 150 class. If you want max glide, a slightly turned over roadrunner, will out glide the sidewinder with minimal fade. Both are excellent though.

I agree that the RR has less fade than the SW. I just mentioned that the RR does not come in 150 class. As a card carriing noodle arm, I look for the light weight discs all the time... the only thing us noodle arms can get any D with. :D

If you have a strong arm and wanna go the 150 route, try the 150 surge. Thrown with even some hyzer it seems to flip and hold a nice anny line every time!!

For max distance, I throw a Rogue. I also throw Sidewinders, but the Rogue goes much further. It is only slightly more stable than a Sidewinder IMO, but much faster.

on down hill drives i would use a roadrunner. there is a long down hill hole at my home course. i have tried every thing on it my new star roadrunner is the only thing i can reach it with.i throw it straight down the hill it turns over on its own and reaches the hole!
