Just a heads up. I used to live in Burlington and have camped at Cedarock on a couple of occasions. They always gave me a combination to the lock in case of an emergency.
I took a church group camping a few times and we would unlock the gate to let someone in and lock it right back. Don't know if it is still an option, but you might be able to get a code by bringing up the safety factor.
Wish I was still around to play those two courses, but can't complain with having 25+ courses in the Dallas metro area at my disposal.

It usually takes a little longer to get the Burlinton scores up. The Burlington crew is a great one, just not very well equipped when it comes to computers. Grasse used to enter scores on his web enabled phone and Rod the Bod does not have Excel on his computer.
Rodney, I would recommend Open Office which is a free download and produces Excel compatible files. Most public libraries also have computers equipped with Excel.
I was hoping to take over some of this stuff for the Burlington Club, but I moved to Dallas just about the time I was getting involved at that level.

Guys, so sorry for the delay in scores. It is true that I don't have Excell on my computer. I am currently downloading Open Office as Levi suggested but it is also true that my internet is stone age (dialup). For those of you who don't remember what that's like, it means a 7 or so hour download time. It also means no scores tonight. But it does also mean that I will do absolutely everything in my power to have scores up by tomorrow night. Trust me, I want to be done with this as much or more than you guys want to see your scores. I appreciate everyone's patience. Thanks to all of you that came out.

Big Wigg, I definetly feel like I earned the title of Bagger this weekend. I won a (A) disc :D so Ill probably move up what do you think. I shot well, and probably could have finished top 3 in Intermediate.
Dawn finished 2nd in Adv Women, and shot very well , and didn't even get a shoutout,
It will be intresting to see what Lil Wigs rating on his -13 will be. My guess 1038. Wyatt got one Bagger Point back on me with his putting performance, now he is only down 2.

The delay between 3rd and 4th round was there for 2 reasons. First we wanted a slightly long delay between rounds so we could drag more cash out of peoples pockets enticing them to take as many shots at the basket as possible (best I can tell right now the basket added $320 to the pro purse, after it paid for itself). Second, it seems like any weird penalty strokes that we had to assign happened during the 3rd round so I spent too much time during lunch looking up rules trying to figure out what in the world people were thinking and how many stroke it would cost them.

You'll be happy with the Open Office Suite.By Sun Microsystems. It is marketed as the "affordable alternative to Microsoft Office". I have used it for all my internet classes in school, presentations for powerpoint. My professor has Word 2003 on XP, so to open and read our work, it has to be in that format, .doc. Open Office has its own format, but will format documents to Excel, PowerPoint, Word 97, XP, 95 etc, etc, as well as many programs you probably haven't heard of. I recommend it highly.

Rocky, I'm told that your round ratings came out too high and it crashed their system trying to resolve the obvious error. Now everybody has to wait cause of you.
Question: what do you call a veteran player who plays rec and wins by 11 strokes?
Lets see I know this one. Is SUPER BAGGER!
We may have to change the rules I think after that the cup is yours I can't bag that good.

Rod, I was glad to support the Pro Purse,I mean really, thats why I play this game, to support the Pro Purse, if I may offer a suggestion on scoring. Get score cards that have spaces where a player can write a score that is distinct, clear, and can be seen without having to drag out reading glasses. Just my opinion. Love the courses at Burlington.

I will do absolutely everything in my power to have scores up by tomorrow night. Trust me, I want to be done with this as much or more than you guys want to see your scores. I appreciate everyone's patience. Thanks to all of you that came out.
Rodney, I think it would be good enough for many people for now it you could just post a list on the message board of placings and scores as you did for after the 2nd round. Either way, thanks for the effort.

Thanks Rod, You may want to ask Micro Dot, or MTL to get them to PDGA, they are pretty good at this stuff and know people. I've even seen them post scores between rounds, thats how fast they are. Try to reach them

Players, leave the pidgeons alone. scores have been attached to those carrier pidgeons and are being sent to PDGA HQ's from last weekends tnmt, since Dialup is not working.

go back to a tournament where they played the same course configuration- figure out how many points each stroke was worth and extrapolate from there- should be roughly correct as long as conditions were similar.

What's wrong with PDGA #'s and Jordan Cowles? All PDGA#'s are showing right according to the numbers given to me. And Jordan was not current at the tourney so he should show as no rating.

it doesn't matter, he still has a rating, even if he is not current, his rating factors in towards the overall rating.
Also, if he was to renew, tournaments he played in the year as non current get counted for his rating as well.
Just trust me on this one, I've done this a few times. :D

May 12 2008, 05:03 PM
OK it's fixed. I had the wrong PDGA # for Jordan and that's updated. Also for some reason it kept the scores per round as the default 18 hole par 54 and that's been fixed also.

May 12 2008, 07:12 PM
Dave I don't know what to tell you about that. Looking at the field of players on that course at the same time, it looks like SSA would be 48 with each stroke off of that counting 11.86 rating points. That sounds right to me but I am no ratings expert. Then again I wouldn't say that I'm an expert TD yet either though.
