Buy Bells!! Lets make it an OBVIOUS impact on their national sales numbers. Lets make sure they know it was a great idea to give us such a generous sponsorship. Buy Bells Brewery products, visit their website, pass the word along to discgolfers and non-discgolfers, family and friends. If they believe that we are strong market to go after, they will continue to support us, and help us garner interest from other cooperations. Lets not waste this opportunity. Besides , they have great products!!! Spread the word!!!!! Buy BELLS!!

Absolutely! Bell's 'Oberon' is now my daily refreshment.

Central Waters Brewery is the sponsor for Standing Rocks Open (April 26/27 in Stevens Point, WI).

Great offerings:
Happy Heron Pale Ale,
Mudpuppy Porter,
Satin Solstice Imperial Stout,
Cherry Bourbon Stout,
Vienna Lager, and
Kosmyk Charlie's Y2K Catastrophe Barleywine Ale.
Something for everyone!

Yep. I was staying at the hotel across the street from it for the family reunion last summer. While eating at the hotel restaraunt, I notice the Central Waters Brewery sign through the window. Ended up taking my brothers and brother in law over there for a couple. Been back since then, great place! Haven't had the food yet though. Not sure what that says. ;)

i have to admit that i was a little skeptical about just how good bells beer was hyped up to be. i figure people here might embellish a little just because of the worlds sponsorship. not that sponsorship isn't a fine reason to support them, but it'd be huge bonus if the beer was decent as well.

i finally got to try some two-hearted this weekend when melt gibson brought some up from VA. it definitely lived up to the hype. i haven't been able to find it in baltimore yet though i do frequent some shops that will put just about anyone else's selection to shame. so i asked about it. the one guy at my local shop said he has had it and loved it. it's just not distributed here yet, but he suspects it will be soon and they will be getting it.

what is it with fish on beer bottles and the beer being very good?

I just tried Two-Hearted for the first time.
Loved it!
If I was limited to drinking beer from only one brewery, Bell's would certainly be in the running!

I love a good Java Stout for breakfast or desert.

I brought a case of Oberon from Lansing, MI out east to the Vibram Open and shared some at league last night.

New Englander's are impressed!

Two Hearted Ale here is my favorite, although I'm a big Bock fan and love the Consecrator Doppelbock.

My friend was supposed to come up with us for Worlds and backed out before he realized it was sponsored by Bells...

Almost considered the divorce he would have caused by changing his mind and cancelling the family vacation.

His only reasoning for considering the change was his love for the double cream stout

Every time that I have been the Eccentric Cafe (Bell's Downtown Tap House) they have had the Double Cream Stout in bottles.

The on tap beers rotate.

I wondering if they will have something special on tap for the weekend. Bell's Birdie Ale?

Larry Bell, to our knowledge, won't be introducing anything new...you savage hounds would run him dry of a new brew in a matter of hours.
Instead, enjoy the Beer Garden in all it's glory and fountains of hopdrops from heaven.

I would, too, except that I spent all last weekend swilling Miller Lite (the horror . . .) & have lost all beer-geek cred.

I'll have to make sure to put a "good ale" rider in my contract when I cater these pig pickin's. :D

homebrewing tonight... making a pumkin spice for a friend but might try a 2 hearted recipe i've found

anyone else here brew?... yahn, bs, biscoe, ray?

and sorry for the ignorance about you ray but if you are a vegan do you have to watch what beers you drink or try to have only beers following the rienhietzgbot standards?

I do brew occasionally, and have a Two Hearted clone on my todo list for next week (getting ready for HHO brewing contest).

Vegans do have to do some research as to what agents are used in the brewing process. Lactose, egg albumin, & isinglass (fish bladder) are relatively common brewing adjuncts & there are some less commonly used non-vegan beer ingredients, as well. I have never run into a case where a brewery (home, small, or huge) is unwilling to disclose the vegan-ness of its ingredients, and I guess if I did, they'd deserve boycotting anyway.

PETA also publishes a white paper detailing "approved" & "non-approved" breweries, but I would rather gorge on a dozen baby harp seals than support those self-righteous prigs in even the tiniest way.

Stubbs, are you REALLY SURE that Bells won't be brewin' something special for Worlds?
Mr. Feldberg got me going with his "Worlds Hopslam" post.
I've been drooling for a few days now at the beautiful thought of a custom disc golf brew....
