Has anyone thrown the CFR run of CRO's?

How do they compare to the stars?

I disagree, IMO the Star Cro is very unpredictable, it was great for awhile and I mainly used it for an overstable midrange but it didnt perform 1 too many times and I had to take it out of my bag.

Unpredictable...?

It is an overstable midrange...

What is it doing that you are not expecting?

This skill with this disc, for me, is deciding when the wind is too much for it.

Not what it will do next.

I agree totally. The first few throws the Star Cro was overstable, then it started working a little too much for my taste. Had to take it out of the bag as well.

The first time I threw the Star Cro I really liked it. I prefer the small diameter and liked the overstability it has for me when new. It also is a nice sidearm approach disc when I need something that'll fly a bit further than my Rhynos. After using it for about a month, I was surprised that a lot of the overstability was gone (and this hasn't been my experience with other Star plastic). Right now it's still in the bag, but I've put the Z Wasp back in and it's my go-to disc for overstable midrange shots.

I guess they do break in nicely....into a nice straighter line.

But I have my original one, the straight one, and then I have a new max weight.

Kind of like Kc Pro or Dx Roc's....I guess.

I will try the champ for sure...

If you don't like your star cro anymore, let me know. I will take them off your hands right away.

PS: Anyone have a review of the champ cro?

I just cant find a reason to throw a Star Cro over a DX Roc, I dont see what the advantage is other than the wear-in factor of the Star plastic compared to DX. My star Cro is at the bottom of a pond in Houston at the Quail Valley CC Links course so I have gotten over it.Its probably the only disc that I have ever gotten an ace with that I didnt like. :D

My Star Cro was understable for me when I threw it brand new. It was max weight too. I could throw that disc hyzer and it would flip and turn. The disc felt great in the hand, but it wasnt as stable as I was hoping it would be.

Maybe the production run is more flippy...

All I throw is first run stamp (just by happenstance)... and they are MUCH more overstable than a DX Roc...

They break in to where they are straight(er). But I am not saying they are super overstable into the wind nor is a DX Roc is. (My opinion of course)

But I can throw them, depending on weight and wear, into some pretty moderate Oklahoma Winds with extreme confidence.

There is a point where I get nervous with the Cro if I have, what I would call a tough headwind (35+ish in pulses).

This is my only problem with the Cro. It does not have the glide to fight a pulsing wind. Once it gets hit once or twice it has lost so much height that it grounds.

But that is in weird Okie wind. I think, for most locations, folks will find this disc more stable than necessary, but for those of us who usually have at least one "windy" round a tournament I think it will find a home.

I keep two, one beat one new.

Eat some stew

Drink some brew

None for Drew

How bout you?

Hole 17 at Winthrop. Star Cro all day long. It's the most predictable disc in my bag for this hole because it seems to ignore the wind. If there's wind, I don't take it into account with my Star Cro.

I can vouch for Drew and his Cro's. He's been pimpin' those things around TTown for a while now.

Hey Drew,
Speaking of the brew, have you decided on a destination for your upcoming b-day. 21 is a big one!!
