Am player receive vouchers so you can pick your prizes. Plaques for the top players.
Last year we were the 12th biggest tournament by the number of entrants. I think it was 170 players.
Baskets awarded to top AM players.
We may even have a band Saturday night.
We'll do up to 4 pools at once so we can keep from doing 5 somes.

Mr. Barry Schultz will be in the house.
Possible discs in the players pack from a unreliable source, ie me. The long awaited re-issued San Marino Roc. Discraft is doing the Force. Not sure on Gateway yet. The 4th disc is undecided yet. Oh, unlike other tournaments even the Rec player's get a 4 disc players pack.
For those who have not attended the St. Louis Open, expect great courses, dinner on Saturday and free beer from New Belgium, most likely Fat Tire.
We'll also be doing a bunch of give away stuff from our sponsor Saturday Night.
Oh, yea, we are set up to do 4 pools so you don't spend all weekend waiting to tee.
"If you build it, will they come". We'll see.

1 reason only, St. Johns. Not a good thing for 2 much of anything ;) Endicott is the best short course in STL, by far :o This is home base for the open.
Peace
PS fence liners, will love the courses  Not any of our courses compare. All of them are their own entity. Not 1 course will you say, wow, that was like, the other one /msgboard/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Camping in St. Louis is non-existent. I'm sure you can find someone to crash with. As far a multilple half barrels we had more than one last year and that was one too much. Let's keep it safe. Kind of goes back to the "run very well" you mentioned.
Did we mention 4 discs for the ams and a shirt. Even if you play Rec with the entry of $30 you get double that in value if you player rating allows.
If some of you 720 Blowing Green Ams would like to play some really good courses, with an awesome payout, free dinner and beer, where you get vouchers and you pick the prizes. (We just order a fresh supply from our Gold sponsors Gateway, Innova Champion, Discraft) Plaques for top players in all divisions.
As said earlier, we built it will they come. Ask the players who went the last two years. They will tell you.
Only the first 150 paid ams get the player's pack.

My camping set-up is very non-intrusive. Tent goes on my truck bed & everthing goes back in the bed with me in the morning. I'm not 100% on whether I'm taking Friday off work yet so I may just need a place to park/camp for Saturday night.

Is there any possibility that the pro divisions will know where they are playing both days before Saturday morning? I'm expecting to have my nephew drive me to the course, and get me from course to course between rounds. It would be very helpful to know where we will be going so I can plan ahead, and let my ride know what's going to be happening.
Not exactly sure how all this "traveling" from course to course is going to work out. I may be looking for rides ... who knows. I doubt if I will be driving.

Boneman, we do not know. It depends on how the pools shake out. There will be plenty of people who can get you from the players meeting at Endicott to your courses and back to Endicott on Saturday for the players party.

There will be 4 courses used in the St Louis open,
There's a Hampton INN at 270 and Dorsett thats very close to Creve coeur less the 15 minutes from Endicott.
JB is way south and Sioux passage way north, so staying close to either of these is not too convenient.
I'm sure we can find some locals who are willing to put players up for those looking to save a few bucks.

Player's packs are done. The first 150 paid ams get 4 discs and a shirt. That even goes for the Rec division which is only 30 bucks.
Currently there are 124 player's registered. Last year we had 174 total players of which only half registered before Friday. So does that mean 248 total player's?
Look forward to seeing you all this weekend. Ray get's to play. NICE>>>

Played Jefferson Barracks Park yesterday with friends and ran into Barry Schultz. We were playing hole 16 and waited for Barry and his buddy to tee off on hole 13 so we could complete the hole. What do you know but he hits an ace on hole 13 while we were waiting! We gave him a buck each for the pleasure. Inspired, Neil drains a 60 foot putt. Lots of hollering on hole 13 and 16.

Schults wins by 3 over Nikko and Justin with Boro coming in 4th!
During the last round before the final 9 Nikko was up by 2 and threw a huge roller left of a double mandatory on Hole 6 at CC lake. We have never played this as a mandatory but it was marked really well and is almost impossible to miss ( unless your trying to which nikko was).
Barry said Nikko was was playing very well and quite relaxed before the incident and never really got mad, but also didnt ever fully recover from the mishap and seemed to be pressing from there on out!
He paid Nikko a great compliment saying he handled the mistake very professionally and as well as anyone could have considering the importance of the mistake and the fact it was on one of his home courses.
I heard Barry played very well in the final 9 and at the awards ceremony he had a lot of good things to say about the event and the courses.
ADVANCED AM:
After 81 holes there was a 3 way tie for 1st in advanced with Zack ( your up,,,, I already shot) Asbury talking it on the 1st play off hole Parking his Razor back Wizard on hole 1 for the win over Bryan "sidearmageddon" Johnson.
3rd place was Michael "The machine" Austin.
I TD the Advanced pool and saw a lot of great potential out there this weekend.
Biggest difference between advanced and pro was obviously in the putting, with many short putts missed over the weekend and especially in the final 9!
181 total players 4 discs in the am players package, keg of Fat Tire, dinner, a blue grass band and a very smoothly run and on time event. 2 final 9's,,, 81 total holes and Barry was on the road by 5:00!

Thanks to all of you who ran the event, you did a good job! I really stunk but had a good time. Playing a round with Sinclair was a real treat, he is an awsome example of sportsmanship. I also had a chance to play with an am from Bowling Green named Calvin Small. This kid is 16 years old and can really bomb it! Great attitude and really nice kid. Can't wait to see him develope, he's gonna be increadible someday. Thanks for coming Barry and congrats. Good job keeping it close Justin, Nikko, Boro. As the saying goes, "get'em next time." Way to pull it together at Souix in the second round Boro, that was no small task in 30 mph winds on that course! Awesome courses, very nice weather, aside from my play it was a very cool tourney, thanks for all of you who made it happen...
